Question 46 in the 2017 Season Guide has the wrong answer. There aren't four players on our list to have played for another team. There are five by my count.

Suckling, Crameri, Cloke, Boyd, Biggs.

Looks like we filled a fair few seats on our bandwagon this off season. Early days I know, but we're currently ranked 5th in the AFL for attendance.

With all the hype surrounding the Saints and Dees going into rd1, how did they only manage 36,249 to their season opener? We pulled almost 7k more (42,834) against a interstate team the next week (was our 2nd game in a row in Melbourne too). And 12k more than North vs Cats (30,917) a couple days after our game. I know there's a fair few Swans supporters in Melbourne, but that's a pretty big discrepancy.

It's also interesting that our game vs Collingwood (66,254) pulled almost 10k more than Richmond vs Collingwood (58,236) the next week.

Highest Home & Away Crowds 2017
78294 - Essendon Vs Hawthorn - M.C.G.

Funny we start getting the crowds, as a new Etihad deal is being negotiated. In any case, great for the club and I also noticed the crowd seemed a bit louder last week, hopefully it continues and we can get our average up to near 40k for home games. We were at about 32k last year I think (With the GC game taken out).

Accidently clicked the first page of this thread and found this at about post 4-5...

I think we fixed it pretty well!!

Here's one for you.........does anyone wish our cheer squad could come up with some better messages for the banner? It's a little embarrassing.

Just taking a 5 minute break from packing. I found about six Footy Records from 1976, but not the Record from my first match Round 1. I also have found about six Bulldogs ties, including the 1983 Centennial tie and a few scarves and beanies. I haven't looked at this stuff since I packed it up 17 years ago. I'm sure I have an old cup from hot chips stashed away somewhere. Back to the packing...

I'll probably end up updating as I continue packing.

Also found:
-1985 Footy Record from the Qualifying Final against Hawthorn. First Final I saw us play
-the Footscray cap my dad was wearing in the pic of my parents that I've posted a few times
-Footy cards(a variety of years)
-stickers and pics from the 70s/80s Footscray years
-unopened Footscray Bulldogs jigsaw puzzle(poster size) 1995
-my "Up Yours Oakley" bumper sticker!
-my Footscray Fightback Certificate framed and autographed by Terry Wheeler and some players
-"Too Tough to Die" autographed by Terry Wheeler
-the Order Of Service booklet from Ted Whitten's Funeral at St Patrick's Cathedral
-1982 Footscray beach towel(never used, tag from Myer still on it!)
-small footy autographed by the 1998 VSFL Premiership team(not positive)
-membership cards from the 80s and 90s
-Footy Records from 90s/various GF Footy Records
-a Footscray jumper from the 60s. It had belonged to the late father of a student I had in 1981. His mother thought I might like it. The kid ended up playing gridiron for Victoria!

I also have a ton of Chicago Bulls stuff from the 90s, especially trading cards, some sheets in mint condition, pennants, posters and plenty of Michael Jordan stuff

Make sure you keep all that memorabilia. You can sell it to collectors here and fund a comfortable old age :p.

It is a representation of goals scored divided by inside 50's
expressed as a percentage. Last year we finished 15th in
the competition and it is an area we need to improve and
probably explains some slightly different faces delivering
the ball inside 50 this year. Geelong had 72 entries for
eight goals in their losing prelim to Sydney last year and
so far this year have had less entries for more effective
scoring.

Interesting on Insight tonight. Jake Edwards, who played 4 games at Carlton in 2008, was told by the dogs that we'd draft him so he turned down a rookie list spot at the Blues.

Come draft day, we didn't take him. He ended up spiraling into depression and drug use and eventually tried to commit suicide. Fascinating watching.

Our last pick in that draft was 32 (Liam Jones). Did we really tell him we'd take him that high?

He was drafted in the 30s by Carlton a few years earlier and played for them.in 2008. We must have been interested in 09' or 10'
Makes more sense. He was delisted 2009, the year we took Shane Thorne last at 76. Must have been surprised Thorne was still around.

When I look at all the young guys that still need to sign on - Williams is the one I'll be sweating on the most. South Australian, who has all the tools to become a gun player at AFL level.

Hope he signs on soon.

Webb will have suitors as well as Dale if they don't get more games this year but Williams is the one I'd want to keep above all.
