Storm: The return of chief playmaker Jahrome Hughes from suspension sees rookie Jonah Pezet move to the reserves list. The only other change is on the bench where former Blues Origin rep Tariq Sims replaces Grant Anderson, who is 18th man.
Roosters: The absence of skipper James Tedesco (concussion) sees Joey Manu take the fullback role in his return from suspension in the only change to the starting 13 that got the win in Round 5. On the bench, Terrell May comes in for Naufahu Whyte, who goes to 18th man.

Bulldogs: Raymond Faitala-Mariner (head knock), Franklin Pele (broken arm) and Jayden Okunbor (suspension) are out but Max King (eye) and Jacob Preston (hand) have been named to play. King saw an ophthalmologist who has cleared him of any serious eye injury while Preston had stitches in his hand after splitting the webbing and is progressing well. The new faces in Cameron Ciraldo's 17 are Harrison Edwards at lock and Jackson Topine and Jayden Tanner on the bench. Viliame Kikau will miss another week after suffering a Category 1 head knock at training last Friday.
Rabbitohs: Winger Alex Johnston (head knock) will miss the game, his place taken by Taane Milne in his first NRL game of the season. Prop Tevita Tatola has been named to return from a knee injury so Daniel Suluka-Fifita goes to the bench and Michael Chee Kam to 18th man.

Cowboys: Fullback Scott Drinkwater's return from suspension pushes Tom Chester to the interchange bench. Forwards Heilum Luki and Jordan McLean are both out with hamstring injuries so Griffin Neame moves into the starting side and Reuben Cotter returns from a knee injury at prop. Rookie Riley Price retains his spot on the bench after his debut against the Bulldogs.
Dolphins: Kodi Nikorima (facial cuts) is back on deck and will play five-eighth with Isaiya Katoa going to halfback in place of Anthony Milford, who faces 3-4 weeks out with a hamstring injury. Edrick Lee will play his first NRL game of the year on the wing, taking over from Jack Bostock. On the bench, Kurt Donoghue has been recalled in place of Mason Teague. Forward Felise Kaufusi has one more game remaining on a suspension.

Panthers: Prop James Fisher-Harris has been sidelined by a knee injury suffered against the Raiders, his place taken by Matt Eisenhuth. Hooker Soni Luke is back on deck after suffering a concussion in Round 4 so Tyrone Peachey goes back to 18th man. Star back-rower Liam Martin (hamstring) remains sidelined.
Sea Eagles: Speedster Jason Saab will play his first game of the season having recovered from a knee injury, taking over from Christian Tuipulotu (knee). Five-eighth Josh Schuster (quad) is back on deck so Cooper Johns goes to the reserves. The injury to Ben Trbojevic (hamstring) sees Karl Lawton join the bench.

Broncos: Stability has been key to Brisbane's success across the opening five rounds and coach Kevin Walters has gone with the same 17-man squad this week. He also has forward Kobe Hetherington on the reserves list and at the ready after two games back from a bicep injury in Queensland Cup. Jordan Pereira is 18th man.
Raiders: Club great Jarrod Croker has earned a recall in the centres for his first game since Round 9 last year. With Jack Wighton facing one more week on the sideline due to suspension and Matt Frawley suffering a hand injury against the Panthers, Brad Schneider comes in at five-eighth for his first game since Round 11 last year. Fullback Xavier Savage (jaw) is at least another week away from a return. Corey Horsburgh has been named to start at lock with Corey Harawira-Naera on the bench.

Titans: Jayden Campbell takes over at fullback from AJ Brimson (hamstring) and Toby Sexton is the new five-eighth in place of Kieran Foran (calf). The new man on the bench is Klese Haas. Englishman Kruse Leeming, who led Leeds Rhinos to last year's Super League grand final, has been named in the extended squad as he eyes an NRL debut after joining the club this week.
Dragons: On the back of a win over the Dolphins, coach Anthony Griffin has the luxury of naming the same 17-man squad. Back-rower Jaydn Su'A (calf) failed to finish the game on Saturday and will be monitored as the week progresses. Mikaele Ravalawa and Jack de Belin were charged by the Match Review Committee for incidents in Round 5 but accepted fines and are right to play.

Knights: Tyson Gamble (head knock) is out so Adam O'Brien has turned to Phoenix Crossland to partner Jackson Hastings in the halves. Lock Kurt Mann returns on the bench after missing Round 5 due to concussion. Mat Croker (ribs) is good to go.
Warriors: Te Maire Martin (head knock) and Tohu Harris (knee) have both been named to return in a double boost for the Warriors. Harris' return pushes Jazz Tevaga to the bench while Bayley Sironen will start in place of the suspended Marata Niukore. Veteran outside back Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been added to the squad having recovered from a calf injury he suffered in the Pre-Season Challenge match against Melbourne in February.

Wests Tigers: More shuffling in the backline with Adam Doueihi going back to five-eighth and Charlie Staines to fullback. Brent Naden returns from illness at centre so Asu Kepaoa goes to the wing. Joe Ofahengaue has been added to the bench at the expense of Justin Matamua, who drops to 18th man. Tommy Talau (broken nose) remains sidelined.
Eels: Edge forward Shaun Lane returns after missing the opening five games due to a broken jaw suffered in the Pre-season Challenge so J'maine Hopgood goes to the bench. Haze Dunster comes in on the wing for Bailey Simonsson (suspended) while Sean Russell replaces Waqa Blake in the centres. Junior Paulo has another week left to serve on his suspension.

Melbourne vs Sydney Roosters (AAMI Park - 19:50)

Tip: was impressed with Melbourne last week and whether he's named or not can't see Tedesco playing. Hughes back for Melbourne a big plus. Actually going to tip Melbourne by 4 in an upset of some sort.

Friday 7th April
Canterbury-Bankstown vs South Sydney (Accor Stadium - 16:05)

Tip: Injuries are mounting for the Dogs, Souths will fancy getting a few wins after a very tough draw to start.

North Queensland vs Dolphins (Queensland Country Bank Stadium - 20:00)

Tip Stuff all confidence, but I'll give the Cowboys a last chance. Said they overachieved last year and this year is basically where they should be. If O'Suivan was playing I'd be tipping the Dolphins.

Saturday 8th April
Penrith vs Manly-Warringah (BlueBet Stadium - 17:30)

Tip: Penrith by a LOT! They will be smarting after dropping a couple of games they really should have won.

Brisbane vs Canberra (Suncorp Stadium - 19:35)

Tip: Yikes it could be very ugly for the poor Raiders, wasn't as sold on Brisbane but if Reynolds stays fit they can win this premiership easily. Walsh is a freak.

Sunday 9th April
Gold Coast vs St.George-Illawarra (Cbus Super Stadium - 16:05)

Tip Gold Coast are probably the safer tip but it's only because it's at home, two pretty mediocre sides. I'll go GC by 8.

Newcastle vs New Zealand (McDonald Jones Stadium - 18:15)

Tip: Newcastle are starting to get some troops back, been impressed with their resolve this year. Warriors don't travel great and how much has last week taken out of them?

Monday 10th April
Wests Tigers vs Parramatta (Accor Stadium - 16:00)

Tip LOL! Who is worse the 0-5 Tigers and the 1-4 Eels in a Easter blockbuster lol Look I can't possibly tip the Tigers but I have zero confidence in Parra. You know what I'll tip Wests to get a win, no idea why at all.

Crazy to me that you have 2 NRL commentators arguing that kneeing a guy in the head on the way to a try is unacceptable. If you're catching a high ball within 5 metres of your try line, you're entitled to some protection to get low and prevent the line drop out, the notion that the try should've stood because it was "an accident" is wild.

I quite enjoyed watching the Penrith light training session video, but I think in future the NRL should stick to screening proper competitive matches.

Agreed. Also, nothing wrong with 'on report' for a facial. A fine would do. Facials are a grim relic from the past that we don't want back in our game. But having said all that, it really wasn't that much of a facial.

With regard to the Broncos' increasing attacking threat, as far as I know, none have the pundits have mentioned Lee Briers, always visible sat behind Walters. Most Wigan fans think there's little doubt that that's where it came from.
