 Was OBJ before his time and could see things not to many others could?

So its not just me who thinks our skipper is becoming a bit of a FTB.

FTB = Flat track Bully.

To be fair he still is struggling for fitness & touch.

Plus those of the lower rung on the ladder of all-sorts do have a history of turning on their own when the going gets tough.

Especially on their captains.

Picking on Tredrea atm is like saying Ricciuto played crap last night.

They'll probably want him to have a season-ending knee injury like they were hoping would happen to Primus.

I thought Ricciuto was more value than Tredrea last night. ;) :D
...
Just about hey? :p
Geesh you've got to feel sorry for players that are forced to come back early and end up looking like a goose rather than the champions they are. Happens to all of them.

1) Severely underdone.
2) His midfield was belted.
3) Playing in woeful conditions not conducive to CHFs.
4) Was playing on one of the premier defenders in the competition.

Geez, his detractors mark him hard.

For instance, only one of the above criteria applies to Jonathan Brown today - but the rest of the football public will still go on making excuses for him and deeming him the next Carey, etc etc.

Firstly I was making an observation on OBJ.
Now he went fishing on this site more than Rex Hunt does in Port Phillip bay and he copped alot of crap, having said that he knew the rules of the game.
But that dosnt mean he was always wrong. It appears that others are now seeing Tredrea in a similar light.

On point 1 After 3 games now perhaps unfit is more likely?
Point 2 On sheer possesions of the Port players you would not think so but the inside 50 statistics backs this up strongly.
Point 3 makes Trents effort that all more special.
Point 4 Well we know that.

1) Unfit/Underdone, more or less the same thing. His resting pulse would be lower than a hibernating polar bear, but you can't substitute for match fitness.

He hurt his knee in Port's first warmup game remember - prior to the NAB - and he now has three games under his belt (with the first two including a fair bit of bench time). Assuming he doesn't have any other problems we won't begin to see him at 100% for another 2-4 weeks yet.

2) Yep, hence the bronx cheers every time they went backwards.

3) Sure does, was terrific. The difference is of course, he did have silver service whereas Warren had dirt.

4) Rutten with Hart and Bassett to swing by at packs makes it a trifle hard in the best of conditions. If only we had this trio in this form when Carey used to come to town. :thumbsu:
