Actually the last time this tournament was played in 2000 Australia only beat Vanuatu 1-0 with a dubious penalty 4 minutes into the game and the Australian team on that occassion was full of European based players and close to full strength

In the end it's probably a good result, we had to work for the win and will hopefully give us a kick up the bum to show us that these teams aren't as bad as they used to be and we're going to have to work to beat the Kiwis.
