I'll call Sydney's bizarre trading of Schneider plus Dempster for a mid 20's draft pick.
Two 23 year olds (one quality, one solid) traded for a draft pick which may or may not turn out to be anything.
#26 for Schneider AND Dempster.
We should've been all over Adam like a rash IMO if he was going for such a ridiculously cheap deal.

#26 for Schneider AND Dempster.

agree but were just too aggressive at the trade table re schneider
... the only reasoning from the swans pov is that maybe roos actually rates the talent in this draft and wants to free up spots. dunno.then theres wood for pick 14 even with clear question marks over his intensity. big risk given the pies recent retirees, isnt king a better fit for them?
lions get a 27 yr old in TJ knowing they have 5/8 of sweet fa chance of winning a flag in the next 2 years. very strange call. dees lose one of their few decent players. lose-lose imo.

I think it's prett clear really. I would have swapped Huddo for McMahon but think there is no way we would come to $330,000pa for him. So I can understand the SA clubs passing him up.

i may be wrong but i think i read somewhere that Schneider is in Bali on holidays so he may be one of those blokes we wouldnt trade for due to inability to do a medical plus interview of him

i think both Sydney & Brisbane have salary cap problems
plus re Schneider to Crows see my previous post about him being in Bali hence unable to meet our interview & medical criteria (if we were interested)
I noticed that Freo are likely to pick up Kepler Bradley from Essendon for a 4th round pick.
Did he play that badly last year??
Is there any merit in looking at him for a 3rd rounder??

Why would we want a spud like Bradley when Rutten, Bock, Bassett, Stevens, Mcleod, Johncock and Torney already form one of the best backlines of the modern era?
