Both have cases.

Giggs will come in handy when we have corners and in general he will probably play behind Ronaldo as a second striker and then drop deep into defence, where as Scholes has the passing ability to unlock Barca's defence but his tackling is a worry.

Feel sorry for him, he was good last year and then he gets put to the bench by Berbatov, which is a joke. Tevez puts in ten times the effort Berbatov does. I think Tevez is right though, the fans can't boo him if he plays for someone else because he has done everything he can. He would look good in a Manchester City shirt come to think of it. ;)

Viva ronalddooo!

1-0.

His last month has been every bit as good as his form from last season

Solid 2-0 win over City with some key players getting some rest even if they weren't happy with it!

We play two more times before Liverpool so we could wrap up the title against Arsenal at home. Hopefully we don't make it tough for ourselves by letting it go into the final weekend with the Champions League final 3 days after.

Could of smashed City last night...I wish we would stop going into second gear...3rd gear would be acceptable but not 2nd gear. Good win anyway. Now just 4 more points.

I was at Ye Olde Trafforde on Sunday, a mate of mine got me a, er, corporate freebie. Which of course goes against all of my principles, but sod it, free ticket for United!

Was all right, pretty rubbish match really, United won while keeping the powder dry and citeh were dreadful (and that's a fact!). Highlights were of course Tevez's cracker - was unlucky not to get a hat-trick, and let's not forget Berbatov's sublime bit of skill to control the pass - and a beautiful ball from Rooney that almost got Scholesy in. And the singing for Darren Fletcher. Who nearly scored - I think Tevez was hoping Fletcher would get on the scoresheet, otherwise he'd have surely headed that in.

Citeh just didn't turn up. Robinho's miss was a piece of comedy genius.

I've no problem with Ronaldo's wobbly. Was the right move to take him off but you can't blame the lad for wanting to play.

Tevez made a huge difference again tonight, he is a great competitor, plays at a great intensity and produced a fantastic goal. Ronaldo could learn a few things about playing with a bit of heart instead of playing for free kicks and whinging all the time - not too concerned if we sell him now, he may be our best player but it is getting embarrassing the way he conducts himself on the field at times. I really hope Tev gets signed up, seems to lift the intensity level of the whole team when he is on the field, especially as a sub.

Should of scored a couple of early goals but all good in the end with great finish by Carrick and the subsequent hanger by Rooney on him :D - just the 1 point needed now, hope we can get it with a win against the Arse this weekend.

Lucky result after a crap performance....I thought United would do what United does best, make the situation harder for them than it needed to be but thank christ we got the result.

We looked ordinary early, lucky not to concede in the opening exchanges. Twice they just had the keeper to beat. We missed passes, tackles and It seemed we were not switched on. 1 foul in the first half is what we committed which to me shows we weren't getting stuck in.

I'm sure the hair dryer treatment was given at the half and once we scored you knew there would only be one winner.

Great goal by Tevez....Sign him up please!
Terrific finish from Carrick also!

Hasn't been a Vintage United season by any means but we could still finish on 92 points and that would be an incredible achievement considering.

Lets get the job done with a win at OT against the Gunners and move to title 18.....

All out attack on Arsenal and put pressure on their defence which have conceded goals of late and morale down. Let's wrap up the league in style and then the final game against Hull to allow players to rest up for the Barcelona final.

I'd go along with that. In terms of the football we've played, it wouldn't be in the top 5 of the titles that Fergie's won. But in another way, we didn't have Ronaldo for the first six weeks, we lost Rooney to injury, there was the issue of trying to fit Berbatov into our system, we lost our first choice defence for a month, and there were the fixture backlog. It was a title won on grit.

By my count, since we drew with Tottenham in mid-December, we've played 20 Premiership games for 18 wins and 2 losses. There's an article in the Guardian about how (ironically like 90s Liverpool) we built our title on crushing the weak teams whilst not necessarily performing against the stronger sides.

To give you an idea of what this means, consider this. When I started following United, we had 7 titles to Liverpool's 14. By the time the Premier League started, we still had 7, but Liverpool had 18. I would have been happy to see United win just 1 title. If you said to me then that United would get to 18 titles, level with Liverpool, I wouldn't have believed you.

IT's weird to think that just 4 seasons ago, it looked like Fergie was finished. Mourinho and Chelsea's money looked like dominating, and Benitez had just won the Champions League for Liverpool. Fergie pretty much has #18 in the bag for us, Mourinho is gone, and Liverpool have now gone three seasons of winning **** all.

Breathe it in guys. Enjoy it. There's a banner on the Kop, "Forever In Our Shadow". In 12 months time, those bastards will be in Manchester United's shadow.
