the celtics lost that game due to the ray allen 3 party. in a 7 game series the lakers have no chance. if they got melo its a different story. 3rd best SF in the nba behind lebron and Paul Pierce.

why did you leave deng out of that list?

Melo would make the Lakers worse.

agreed.

Afflalo's clock sense not to jack and instead take the couple of steps and remove Marion from his grill was brilliant awareness and gifted Denver the win. Love that man. :thumbsu:

being a ucla boy its only a matter of time before he dons the forum blue and yellow...i hope.

He's one of the best clutch players in the NBA you tool, why wouldn't he say that

I never said anything about him being or not being "clutch" just dislike his apparent lack of humility. How about saying how great Billups shot tonight or how good was that game winner (the clutch shot) by Afflalo.

Instead he focuses on himself because although he is a good player he's still a w***er.

cut melo some slack. he's been through hell and back recently. all the trade talk, watching lebrone dominate. melo would not be human if he didnt want some of the attention lebrone gets. if melo does go FA this off season hed hope for the same attention as the decision.

It's the only interview I've seen of him and maybe in his other interviews he does have humility. I don't know.

My comment was on that one interview and that's it. So if he isn't normally like that fine. Geez it's like I shot his dog or something.

well lakers visit MSQ today. can the lakers hold off a red hot offense? lakers need to take momentum from the Cs game, but something tells me it'll be hard backing up considering so much effort was put into the Cs game - the statement game.

We'll get mauled inside. Amare can handle his man but Mozgov needs to start a brawl and get Bynum ejected.
Raymond will need to be a beast to get us up.

BTW, I thought Ray Ray 3 celebration was actually very understated considering they are americans. I was expecting fireworks followed by 21 gun salute and a call from the President.

Liked the touch of giving Reggie a little cuddle. Would be nice for the NBA to have the record holder of such milestones courtside whenever their record is passed:thumbsu:

I missed the Pierce pout when Ray Ray was getting the applause. Seriously happened? Some vision would be appreciated cause I love a good PP bash.

DWill trying to avoid the lynch mob in SLC.

Williams, as you might imagine, has become the popular fall guy in this story. Here we have another young superstar running off the beloved old coach … except Williams isn’t accepting that role without a fight.
He denied going to Jazz management and giving them a “him-or-me” ultimatum about Sloan.
“That’s not true. Not true. I would never force coach Sloan out of Utah, he’s meant more to this town, to this organization than I have, by far,” Williams told my main man David Locke in an exclusive interview on KFAN 1320 AM late Thursday, after Sloan had already said his public goodbyes. “[It's] not my place. If that was the case, I would just say I wanted out before it would come to that.”
Williams dismissed media reports (and certain media members) for cooking up stories about a perceived rift between he and Sloan, the only NBA coach he’s ever played for until he takes to the floor today for Ty Corbin. The reality, Williams insists, is that he and Sloan didn’t bicker any more or less than most coaches and stars. And while their relationship was far from warm and fuzzy all the time, they were not at each others’ throats on a regular basis either.
And this notion that a blow up between he and Sloan precipitated Thursday’s resignation, is not going fly with Williams:
“We just had a disagreement. We’ve had them before, we’ve had worse ones,” Williams said. “I’ve seen him have worse ones with other players. Jerry is very fiery, I guess that’s the word to use. I am too. Sometimes we clash on things … It’s been pretty much the same, we get along a lot, we disagree sometimes, but we both want to win. It has been a frustrating year. We felt we were supposed to be a little better than we have been. I’ve been lucky. Not many people get to come into the league and play for a Hall of Fame coach for the first six years. Chance to learn from one of the best. I’ve won a lot of basketball games because of Coach Sloan.” Williams went on to say that he is not expecting to keep his hair for much longer.

This is exactly what you need in a D'Antoni system. Someone with great shot selection....;)

Felton, Billups Could Be Added To Carmelo Deal
Feb 11, 2011 15:40 PM EST

Recent rumors indicate that the Nuggets would like the Knicks to include Raymond Felton in a package for Carmelo Anthony, with Chauncey Billups ending up in New York as part of the deal as well.

The New York Post reports that Donnie Walsh and the Knicks are not currently considering the suggestion.

Billups doesn't have a guaranteed contract for next season, meaning New York would be able to waive him and acquire additional cap space.

This has been circulating for a bit now in regards to Denvers interest in Felton Westy Bogan but if you are Donnie Walsh you throw in Felton, at the end of the day Felton is gone in a couple seasons anyway but i cant see this being done unfortunately.

We are going to get killed today but im sure we will get a PeterNorth danger game post shortly once it gets close to tip off :D

Wont need Felton or Billups with cp3
May as well make the deal

Unless I didn't see all of it, then I agree with this. Not OTT at all, but it's Boston so let's get our hate on I guess.

Neal is really good at knocking down end of quarter shots. Seems like he does them for fun when he's out on the court.

Portland's second unit of Patty and Rudy dominating!
Rudy 23 pts. 8-8 FG, 6-6 from three and 1-1 from the line, 2ast, 2stls and +13
Patty 7pts. 3-5, 2rebs, 3ast and +11

All in very limited game time. Patty's played the least mins with 7.50, and Rudy, the 3rd least with 16.38
