Think Toronto would trade him for Peja Stojakovic? I know they just got him (and would relish the cap room his expiring contract will provide as much as us), but it would give them another scoring option right now.

Straight up for Baron Davis?

Kenyon Martin's contract?

TJ Ford?

Mike Dunleavy?

Dan Gadzuric?

Troy Murphy?

Samuel Dalembert?

I'm desperately clutching at straws here :p

Brb trading one of our most valuable trade assets and best defender for a player with a shitty contract at a position we are already set at. Thats not how it works its our team that rapes your team in trades.

No-one is taking Hamilton. He's as untradeable a contract as there is right now - your only hope to move him is to swap for another massively overpaid player ala the Lewis-Arenas swap.

After yesterday I think that term is redundant.

Need to get our own back from the Billups-Iverson trade damn it! :p

Great team win by the Pistons :thumbsu::D Wouldn't mind seeing this lineup together for a few more games, to see whether it was a fluke or if they genuinely work better without Hamilton and Stuckey. Either way, hopefully it's the catalyst for a faster-paced style, as we have the athletes and the skills to work better with an up-tempo game.

Probably jumping the gun and getting hyped over one result, but would the Bulls at all consider a Hamilton + Stuckey for Joakim Noah + CJ Watson trade? It works according to the Real GM trade checker (Watson in there to even out the dollars), but would Chicago go for it? Probably not, as it doesn't really get them closer to a championship (in fact, probably sends them backwards in a way without Noah).

I'd even throw Jonas Jerebko in to sweeten the deal (works financially). I like his potential, and would want to keep him, but not sure how he'll recover from a long-term Achilles injury. I'd like to get rid of Jason Maxiell, but it'd blow the finances out on the deal.

Would give the Pistons a pretty talented and versatile squad, possibly capable of sneaking into the playoffs with a more up-tempo gameplan:

C - Joakim Noah
PF - Charlie Villenueva
SF - Tayshaun Prince
SG - Ben Gordon
PG - Will Bynum
-----------------------
C - Ben Wallace
PF - Greg Monroe
SF - Austin Daye
SG - Tracy McGrady
PG - CJ Watson
C - Chris Wilcox
PF - Jason Maxiell
-----------------------
PF - Jonas Jerebko
SF - Dajuan Summers
SG - Terrico White

Although the Bulls would probably need another decent seven footer (which is why they probably wouldn't trade Noah in the first place) to be anything more than a playoff also-ran:

C - Carlos Boozer
PF - Taj Gibson
SF - Luol Deng
SG - Richard Hamilton (Could start Stuckey here and use Brewer as a playmaker)
PG - Derrick Rose
-----------------------
C - Omer Asik
PF - James Johnson
SF - Kyle Korver
SG - Ronnie Brewer
PG - Rodney Stuckey
C - Kurt Thomas
PF - Brian Scalabrine
-----------------------
SG - Keith Bogans
PG - John Lucas

The Bulls could then maybe try and use Bogans + a future draft pick and/or cash considerations (everyone's favourite ;)) to prise Hasheem Thabeet from Memphis (?).
Why not throw Rose in there too?

What makes people come up with these ridiculous trades? If you want you can have CJ for nothing. Please take him.

Bit harsh on CJ, he's not fit to run an offense but can score the ball.

I'd like to see him play next to Rose rather than just back him up, couldn't do worse than Bogans.

Wouldn't mind a big man that actually wants to stick up for Rose every time he gets decapitated going to the rim, need an enforcer just to come in and slam people.

I seriously think a Hamilton for Baron Davis trade would work. Clippers owner hates Baron Davis a fair bit it seems and Hamilton is the type of player they need for now.

I thought Hamiltons contract expires at the end of the year anyway or did he recently re sign?

I shouldn't be surprised we are first up to play N'Orlando.

Bring on another one of those dismal shooting performances!

I'm not sure it's such a bad thing. I read that none of the new guys will have even been able to attend a practice with the team before the game, so they will be running super basic offense, and they will be an absolute mess defensively.

OKC have to fork out another 20k for the HT Halfcourt shot. 2nd time in a week I think.

Gil got to Orlando very quick after, practiced there before joining the team in ATL.

The PHX boys joined the team for physicals in ATL today. May play tomorrow, Gil should.

Sounds oddly familiar :D
lol.

Our offense is always basic anyway.

Post up Dwight.

Post not there? Screen and roll with Dwight.

Roll defended well? Shoot it.

Shot and roll defended well? Shoot it?

Not sure? Shoot it.

As for our Defense, getting rid of Carter and Lewis makes it immediately better....even if you don't replace them. Their D was let man through, hopefully Dwight blocks him, don't rebound, don't fast break. Shoot it.

Man D in the NBA makes things easier, and having the best defensive player in the league does as well.

Even though he played well against Memphis, could see Quinn having to guard Nash tomorrow.

Hope Parker plays every minute Nash does just so I don't have to see that.

You got the best shot blocker, dont think he is the best defensive player.

Bogeyman disagrees.

Thats kinda where I was going with the second part of that statement. I rate Bogut as a better defender than Howard, but Howard is the better shot blocker. Statistically not as much this year, but people still go at Bogey, not so much with Dwight.

Bogut is leading the league in blocks per game right now. He's fourth in Defensive Rating behind Kevin Garnett, Howard and Zydrunas Ilgauskas too (was second to Howard in both categories last season). He was a good defender in his first few years in the league, but he's become an elite defender under Scott Skiles' tutelage.
