Derrick Rose and the Cleveland Cavaliers are meeting on Monday to discuss a one-year contract.

Rose's deal would be for one-year at the veteran's minimum of $2.1 million.

Rose met with the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, but appears to be leaning towards joining the Cavaliers. Rose would prefer to sign with a contender to rebuild his trade value.

The Cavaliers' discussions with Rose come amid Kyrie Irving's trade request.

Although the phrase 'rebuild his trade value' seems very odd since it's only a 1 year deal.

Surely he's just trying to rebuild his value full stop?

Well if Flip Saunders taught us anything about trading a big chip, it's that patience is a virtue. My guess, though, is that GM LeBron will want him out.

A more accomplished player, but just as shit as player selection as the other faux GM's that went before him (KG, Dwight, Shaq)

Geez that is a ******* steall!!!!

Yeah for that cash it's a good pick up, lose some scoring but he's still capable of playing some decent games.

For 2 mill his output will exceed his $$ if he stays on the court.

Will be interesting to see what they can get for Kyrie now.

Could actually come out of this as strong, possibly stronger, Bron will want 1 more tilt at a championship before heading to the Lakers.
Remember, this is the Cavs FO you're talking about.

as a huge drose fan, im sad that he's gone to the cavs.

but at the same time, contradiction much but i am happy for him, chase them rings.

HOF IMO i dont care what people say, players have gotten in with less than what he's accomplished,
