Has the celebrated Shit-Down Defence reached its apotheosis, or can it still evolve and offer us even more as finals approach?

Yes, a highly pertinent question. While our use of the shit-down defence on-field is approaching it's nadir, we're looking at really dosing up on the Metamucil and expanding our digestive abilities to include off-field concerns.

Once again we're looking at shitting down our rivals at the trade and draft tables in 2010, so Ross Lyon I'm awaiting your call. Kevin Bartlett, we'd be perfectly happy to shit down any of your proposed rule changes, in particularly the cap on bench rotations, it's time you realised that the way you played football is not reflective of what people cherish about our game. Kevin Sheedy, we're really looking forward to shitting down your attention-seeking comments in the media that we can't win the flag this year... we realise you're just keeping your head in the papers to attract interest on your basket case of a charity/football club, but stay tuned regardless.

well unlike most Collingwood supporters i will be hanging sh1t on everyone about how we are gonna win th flag......

nah seriously i will hang online talking to you guys and listening to SEN online for the banter etc. Im also in a Collingwood supporters group here so i will go and watch the games with them and depending on what finals game we play in i will venture over for them. If we make the GF and im lucky enough to score a ticket then i will come over and soak in the week.

Tonight's report on the state of the premiership lid.

The lid was completely shut until Liljohnz started up the "Beginning of a dynasty?" thread. Level heads/(party poopers?) such as Shpeshel Ed, shawthing09 and Optimax have been trying feverishly to douse the flames and differing minds have labelled them both realists and pessimists in recent days. The partypoopers might have a predictable ally in a Carltank supporter who rang in on SEN yesterday. He strangely said that this Pies side was the best he's seen in 40 years and that side (devastatingly) lost the Grand Final. All of this work may be in vain though as the overwhelming, lid-lifting force of posters such as Daics35Marvel is starting to take its toll.

These opposing forces have the lid on a knife's edge now and anything over the likely 10 goal win tomorrow night might blow it off completely.

Sadly the motel is out of bounds, however I have just employed another Collingwood supporter and together we are putting the owner under enormous pressure to allow us to lift the lid.

On the home front is the promise of the Mighty Collingwood Flag if we finish on the top of the home and away fixtures. I will also be wearing appropriate PIE garb to the final two freo home games.

For Leroy, I'm going to have to say Homer. We need a poet who can paint his heroes. This is very fitting for the noble Leroy:

“We have still not reached the end of our trials. One more labor lies in store—boundless, laden with danger, great and long, and I must brave it out from start to finish."

For Wellingham we need the youthful beauty and brilliance of Lord Byron:

He kicks in beauty, Like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of black and bright
Meets amongst his fellow Pies.
