What considerations do West Coast give to Freo that Freo don't give to West Coast?

Probably none. It's just that WC have more high profile / top end of town / media people amongst their supporters, so their "considerations" likely have further reaching influences than Freo's do.

Says the one with the user name ImperialPurple.

Given that Siths think inwardly, only about themselves, we surely must be the Jedi, given we are allegedly plotting to bring you down. :D

RepublicanPurple just doesn't have the same ring to it. ;)

You are the Sith because by focussing only on yourselves you require the obliteration on the Jedi (us). No Jedi means that you can continue merrily along in your evil ways. But the Jedi will not be defeated, and while we might be at a low point at the moment, the force is strong within us, and we will rise again.

If you are the light side, stop picking gungans in your side and you might be a chance to win some games.:)

You can keep the wookiee (Sandilands) and ewok (Bell) though.

You dare to call Master Yoda an ewok?? Green, he may not be; but wise, he is. Pointy ears, he may not have; but hairy, he is not.

Who are you calling the gungans????

Mcmanus, Walker, Thornton, Gilmore, Crowley, Duffield...

They are a bit gungan-esque :D

I guess Judd is Anakin Skywalker. 'There is still good in him, I can feel it'.

Judd = Anakin is pretty fair actually. ;)

Bit harsh on Crowley and Duffield, but can't argue all that much on the others... :o

And don't tell me this guy doesn't look like a battle droid!

Getting back to the coaching thread ...

Sumich has the advantage that the media won't be able to touch him for a year to two because he has come from a lot of success. I suspect, like many others, he'd need that year or two because I don't think he'd survive under all the pressure. The other thing is he doesn't have any Victorian perspective. Woosha did his apprenticeship at another "great" club under one of the coaching greats. Sumich doesn't have that perspective.

Voss is nothing more than a media beat up, and the other coaches are being pleasant in case they want him as an assistant. He'd be a dead set dud. The list of great players/dud coaches is a way lot longer than the other way around.

I reckon Laidley has had a lucky year.

Gary Ayers was shunted out of Adelaide even when he was successful so it's not his coaching that's at question. My mail he was so hard he just demoralised the whole club.

Pagan has lost his players and his credibility. He comes across like an arrogant buffoon now.

I reckon it will come down to Harvey, Bond, Longmire and maybe Neil Daniher. It'll probably be down to whether Harvey really wants the job. I suspect that will be down to whether his family want the pressure.

No Sheedy Doc??

Case closed.:thumbsu:

We may not be able closer to know who our next coach will be, but I think we can say empirically that Shaun McManus looks like one of those...things.
