I'm surprised that some of you can't see what a star Kreuzer will be. The only thing holding him back is Carlton's dearth of KPFs and Ratten's crazy idea that he'll get a guy who'll be like Cox, but better, to play forward. Of course his knee injury has held him back a lot and the foot injury late in the year wasn't good either.

That video of him against Sydney showed just why he'll be the most dominant onballer of all the ruckmen. He'll never be quick enough to play forward permanently and Carlton will lose too much from the middle playing him forward.

Warnock is their big spud. Yes he'll win the hit outs against everyone, apart from Sandi, but dinosaurs are extinct.

If I was the Carlton coach I'd have Kruezer playing primarily on the ball and Hampson as the pack smasher up forward clearing a path for Gibbs, Walker, Waite, Betts and Garlet then relieving Kruezer in the ruck.

Personally I think sticking to that for this season will see them legitimately challenging for the flag in 2013. I say that because Hampson and Kruezer need some more time. I also think Watson has a lot more class then Henderspud. I also think that 2013-14 is the last chance to get a lot out of Judd, Simpson and Scotland.

I think Hampson can be paid to crash packs. He might only kick 10 goals a year but I think he can increase Betts, Walker, Garlet and Gibbs out put by around 10 goals a year each, simply by splitting packs and making opposition defenders look over their shoulders when sitting under the ball.

Also his hands aren't great but they aren't the biggest problem. He seems to misjudge the flight of the ball. Anyhow this may work in his favour as a battering ram. Not sure if his body can hold up doing this though.

The reason I think that Ryder and Hampson are ruckmen who can go forward is because they have big leaps and quick take offs, obviously plenty of fast twitch muscle. Kreuzer and others don't.

Ryder is a tough one for us because he could be a superstar forward because he not only has those attributes he also is a great pack mark, fantastic kick for goal and is very good below his knees .... but he is also missed from the middle of the ground when not there.

Hampson on the other hand is no loss from the middle of the ground. He will be better up forward than Warnock though and Kruezer will be better on the ball than Warnock.

Warncok is seriously sharp for a big bloke regardless. Ryder & Nicnat might have him but they'd be the only couple.

No he's not. I've never seen evidence for or against him having a good top speed. However, he clearly is not quick off the mark. Nor is does he have quick reactions.

Have to say Warnock is getting overrated here.

The guy is a fantastic tap ruckman, but there's no place in the modern game for a ruck who is soley good at the centre bounce/throw-ins and offers zilch everywhere else.

Doesn't score goals, can't mark the ball, even against far smaller opposition and poor at ground level.

Kruezer is a better prospect by far.

Guess we better ditch Bellchambers for Hooker at ruckman, then.

Not serious, but IMO Kreuzer's overrated.

Bellchambers is another who I rate as a better ruck prospect than Warnock.

Kreuzer may be overrated...but so is basically any youngster who has shown promise.

Yeah I rate Bellchambers, massively.

Needs to work on getting more of it around the ground, but his ruck work is massive, and his marks at either end of the ground are going to be a huge weapon.

I find it hard to rate big Belly, because after cricket training I used to sit around watching the footy seniors train and big Bell was a colossus, and was so on match day. It's hard to get that vision out of your head and realise that it's a completely different level.

You know, so much of footy is played in the head. If he felt he was better than most on the field I'm sure he has the ability to be a top level player. It's almost as if he's too scared to make a mistake - he can be tentative, no doubt.
