Would I be wrong in saying that getting an ex afl player who’s been retired for 3/4 years to come and play a one off in the ovens and Murray isn’t the most logical approach? If the Roos were to get him in 2021 fresh out of the system you’d get a much better product. IMO the one off games
Are much better suited to the lower leagues where the player is able to do as they please really compared to the ovens and Murray where they will really struggle to impact the game and could be made to look really bad if they’ve not been playing regular footy and looking after themselves

Daniel Rich / Trent Cotchin would’ve been more logical

Yep - 6 points if you have played 1 AFL game in any of the current of previous 3 AFL seasons, Eddie played in 2021 so is 6 points.

Yeah they'll have to shuffle some things to fit Betts in, unless maybe they know O'Brien is unavailable for that game anyway.

They've used 40/40 of their points vs Wodonga and Myrtleford and 37 vs Albury and Lavi. 39 in all other games.

But none the less the town will be buzzing, people who I have never seen at an O&M game are already talking about attending.

I’d be shunning them from the in-house meetings, intel for potential opposition clubs. On a lighter note, Karl and Ed overlapped for three games together at the Blues, early rounds 2005. As luck would have it I Was down that way debt collecting for a friend of a friend, caught the Collingwood v Blues, Karl and Eddie were just kids. Would love to see them reunite for a game.

Feel sorry for the 5 or 6 pointer that will miss out. Not a good thing this 1 off appearance. Fair enough if the side wa on the bottom but this seems like a $$$ grab for him.
