Wodonga look to have recruited well. I still think they are top 5. I think the bottom half of the ladder except for Corowa is a raffle.

Intrested with the Lavington selection at 5th Trent, what makes you think they will improve and make the finals

Sorry mate, but your Morris tip wouldn’t be in top 25 players in comp. Lavington outs outweigh ins by length of Dean St, but respect your right to have an opinion

A lot of underselling Myrtleford here….. they’ve picked up some quality players and haven’t lost many of any. They have recruited smartly and have targeted guys that will fill deficiencies

What everyone is in agreement on is how bad Corowa-Rutherglen is going to be. It’s not a knock, but more statement of fact and acceptance of situation. The fact Beddy, one of their strongest advocates has gone AWOL despite being up close to get vibe on ground speaks volumes.

Matt Munro is serious player

Agree. They signed 2 Dales, Munro and didn’t they get some good ones from the Goulburn Valley. Did they also have a few missing with injury for a decent chunk of last year.

Yeah a couple that missed a decent chunk of footy….. they’ve got a magnificent culture at that club. They’ve got it right off the field it’s time to get it right on it….. they are on their way again the Saints. Continue to fight against the odds in a big comp where many have said they should shut up shop and go into the O and K.

Lavy have not being far off the last 2 years, if they had a few close results go their way we'd be talking up how great they are. They are well coached and with a bit more experience, I think theyll break through this year.

Hodgson was brillant on the biggest stage, when it counts, back him to use that inner belief this year to be far more consistent

Not AWOL , i left yesterday and had my ear to the ground and a schooner and got 0, can only hope

My daughter was at the Festival - Beyond the Valley.
Prime Train was camped two spots away.

He and his mates would get up every morning and do a fitness workout and run around the grounds.

2024 - the year of Prime Train is fast approaching

You've got to be a bitter ex player or on the council. If it's the latter then congratulations on having the most decrepit and run down main street imaginable, up one end three op shops and three el-cheapo stores and down the other shops that don't even look like they trade anymore, a couple of pubs and cafes in the middle and that's it, well done council.

You surely must be looking forward to holding a party if the footy club doesn't get up.

Not C-R specific but it requires a special kind of stupid to continually point out that a struggling club is struggling as if it were a hot take.
Those across the state putting their shoulder to the wheel to keep their clubs afloat deserve significant respect - if you feel there are opportunities being missed, by all means roll up your sleeves & get involved, otherwise, pipe down.

I'd think every followers wants to see a competitive corowa next year, from afar there still seems to be a lack of communication between the cluster clubs to ensure there's footy in that part of the world, through mergers. Mergers have worked well in the west of the state and its no longer a dirty word to merge clubs

Ok, truth pills at ready
“Reset” has been wanky term concocted by those in charge more concerned about pr than hard work of salvaging something from wreck of 12 months ago by at least getting an under 18 team up.
It would gone long way to avoid issues of those who went elsewhere in 2024 not coming back. Rovers pounced here, cdhbu also. Wise up to reality for goodness sake.
Not making the tough call to throw all positions open to start again, president, committee, senior coach.
When was last time “no name”‘coach got job done in OM?
Last few flag coaches have included those with names Johnson, Reid* (salary cap), Curtis, etc. Dean Stone somewhat exception to rule in late 2010s, but incredible DNA in comp as past player and hard working coach.
At end of day CR situation went pear shaped because Peter German put the acid on those in charge and they took soft option.
Stop sugar coating a situation that could have in part been avoided.
Does myrtleford ever piss & moan about being small fish in big pond? No they get on with job. For history buffs they lost something like 60 games on trot, had bugger all twos players through that same period, but came out other side and should have won flag if not for the bloody spicy cough (Covid).
