Why are we after him we got enough medium size forwards. He probably play for the bullants no offence because of Yarran,Betts and Gartlett as the small to medium forwards.
Grigg

What bullshit.

Collins is nothing like those small forwards of ours.

He offers a different forward option more akin to Houlihan.

He also offers 100% effort and commitment, something we lack and need within our team at present.

Would be stoked if we landed him in a deal and would be getting his # on my new jumper without hesitation.

Get a clue and actually watch a few games.

ASMS u sure ur not one of us? lol as stoked as u would be at landing him we are gutted at loosing him.

the sad part is, andy agreed to it, which says he doesn't care about playing at richmond. this is a sad loss and very confusing

Maybe he was pissed off at even being considered....like Bradshaw & Rischitelli....blokes rarely want to play at clubs where they think they're not wanted or regarded as expendable...

I wont us to get picks to get talls and so we can keep the fish we deserve to get the man to 100 games.Collins is probably not to bad his 15 games he did well in some games kicking 3 goals i read.He seemed to be really liked here.

true, forgot about that, too devistated to think at all about this anymore. the thing is i thought he was in our long term plan, obviously not. our step forward in the tambling trade is now invisible to this 2-3 year setback trade :(

Can we please piss off these Carlton trolls....they know we wouldn't get away with the same crap over there at their precious little *** forum....zero tolerance for scum fans....
That forum is run by total asses admin banning me off my own team board talking about tight asses how come your club has up to 80% of end of year sale while we have a stingy 25% at least the poor man can get something cheap on your club.Mario Speedwagon ha ha cool band Reo Speedwagon.

the worst trade... collins such a good footballer and good bloke, came up to me and my mate and said hey guys.RFC big mistake.. all u have to do is watch the sydney game.

I've been following him for a few years now and he's just got something about him to suggest he could be a good 200 game player.

And you are more likely to make 200 games with an attitude like A.C's than Grigg's.

Were giving up one of our most promising mids for a Bullants player basically, not sure why at least your second rounder might have netted us something reasonable.

you people just dont get it. you have not given up anything. grigg is uncontracted and walked out giving us as his prefered club to get to.

I am dreading breaking the news to my kids if this deal happens. First Tambling, then Collins. They'll start to wonder why they should even care who the guys in the jumpers are. Collins vs Sydney was the highlight of the year for them and something they'll always remember (due to the fact that I was going absolutely mental, grabbing them by the scruff of the neck and just shouting his name over and over).

just doesnt make sense as to why we would trade a player who is contracted and considered a good prospect unless we dont know something.

Guys who are contracted generally hold higher trade value, so no issue there.... but I don't see why we'd let Collins go. I like the kid, as do all Tigers supporters by the looks of it. Don't watch Carlton games so no idea what Grigg's value is, but sometimes you have to trade quality to get quality...

I'd rather a kid who has the potential to play 200 games than take a fly on some recycled or unproven tall that is more likely to languish at the Bullants.

We're more likely to get better picks for Jacobs or Walker.

If this deal goes through it's a great return for Grigg.

ppppfffttt hes a goalkicking mid best way to sum him up is old fashioned centreman. he hasnt had a lot of time in the middle because of his size which is a work in progress.

may have been a lifelong Carlton supporter, his agent might have already got a substantial payrise from Carlton, might have his best mate there.... I don't know. There are all sorts of reasons why he might say yes - we can only speculate.

Perhaps the issue there was that Houli also walked out and wanted to land at Richmond.

With two players in that situation I guess one has to be landed through a trade for the other to potentially be able to get to Richmond through the PSD.

If Richmond got Houli and Grigg for Collins it wouldn't be a bad bit of business done by Richmond along side the Tambling deal.

I feel abused.

The camaraderie that Collins had formed with the other youngsters (and Cuz for that matter) was the most exciting part of my year. There was a genuine feeling that Collins was integral to the kids changing the culture of Richmond.

I dont care if Joanna has more potential, because the more upside to his skills in not so much that it outweighs the benefits of taking a well liked player from the side.
