Hey Swannies fans,
I'm sure we are all hurting and extremely disappointed after watching the boys get their pants pulled down tonight. After a couple of hours I have though of the positives that we can take with us from tonight.

1) We have a second chance as we worked hard this year to finish 4th (better than 14 other teams in the competition)

2) Our second chance will be at home against two teams which we beat fairly comprehensively this year. One of them possibly being the 9th place side Carlton.

3) We have only ever lost one final at ANZ. Against Brisbane lions in 03.

4) in true Bloods character we will definitely put in a better showing next week. I know this because I can't remember the Swans playing two bad games in a row in a long time.

So let the tigers or blues fans talk up their chances against us next week but never ever write off Sydney. While their is a chance, their is hope. Lets make sure we all get behind the boys next week at ANZ. They need our support more than ever right now !

Im done being negatve im back on board lets get to a prelim

Taking everything into account, making a prelim would be an outstanding achievement considering the 5 years of injuries we've copped this year!

Hopefully we can still be inspired in the next few weeks.

I'm staying away from the other threads this week, I know how negative they would be and refuse to listen to any of it.

WERE STILL ALIVE IN MY EYES!!

Freo beating the Cats was a great result, I rate our chances in Perth more than the Cats at the G (though Freo are looking the goods).

Plus it means it can't be a Hawks / Cats GF which is awesome :) They will likely have to face off in the prelim.

we wont win next week so no point talking bout FREO

Sorry but I cant see it last night hurt us to hard to come back from

If carlton win surely we beat them in sydney?

Absolutely the BEST thing about today's Freo win is that all those gloating Hawthorn fans will have spent the afternoon coming to terms with the very real possibility of having to go through Geelong to get to the GF ... we face a trip to Perth, but we go well over there ... and if we can't do the business next week and then against Fremantle, I will be shouting myself hoarse that the Dockers can repeat our feat of 2012 and make the Hawks choke on their Grand Final arrogance. That, to me, is something VERY positive to come from the past 24 hours.

Lets win the semi first

But if we did it wouldnt bother me in some ways to lose to freo once the dust settled i mean because you cant help but respect the way they play

Glad this thread is here.

Couldn't join in the vent thread. Last night was disappointing, but it doesn't dull my love for the team. In fact, i just today got a new hoodie from the Swanshop as a gift from my wife, and wore it proudly all day.

Most teams give their fans 22 games each season. We are the lucky ones, and usually get around 24 (funnily enough that's 9.8% more!). Even if we lose, i just love watching the team play.

From here we've got Richmond/Carlton at home. We can do that. Then we get Freo. We can do that too. And if we get that far, you can be sure it'll be a battered or bruised Hawthorn/Geelong/Collingwood/Port we line up against.

The season is still on, so i'm still positive. I didn't think we could do it last year, and the boys showed us we could. I'm not going to write them off yet.

Cheer fricken cheer! Loyal sons are still marching.

Why did you even click on this thread?

There's a roast thread over there ----->

once again, results fall our way - just like us Bradburying into 4th. Rather us play Richmond/Carlton than Port. Guarantee those two teams will be going at eachother hammer and tongs tomorrow.

Goodes and LRT available next week if Sydney wants to pick them.

Think Tigs will and Swans out in straight
Seriously what the hell? I've never read someone be so incredibly negative, you are embarrassing yourself and no one wants to hear that shit that seems to come from you non stop. I'd respect you far more if you gave a reason for being so negative instead of just say "oh we are going to go out in straight sets" or "danger game" at least give some insight to your negativity or something?

Well that's giving me a headache just thinking about trying to fit them in.

Do we even think of dropping Everitt for LRT surely not? guess White will make way for Goodes.

I don't know it's so much of a risk.

LRT is probably done for the year but Goodes is straight back in if fit.

Time for more positives I think, since everyone seems to be in a sour mood!

1) Armstrong will be delisted
2) No more try-hard comedians on this board making pathetic Lamb puns!!!
3) The irrelevant "club" that started a couple of years ago utterly hates us and makes bitter press releases about signing their mascot for 9 years
4) Hawthorn couldn't even celebrate their premiership for a few days before the Franklin situation completely stole all their attention and headlines away
5) The flow of delicious tears on the main board provides good entertainment
6) Lloyd Perris for some reason accepted a rookie spot which is a massive bargain

Are you convinced this trade guru on twitter has got Armstrong right?
