This myth is still floating about teh interwebs, much to my frustration.
Just last week one of the papers had an article on how we'd played the most number of games against the top 8 from this season, and also had the best record against them (9-3 if my maths are correct). Some clown commenter on the HS claims that the "fact" we played most of them at "home" negates the quality of teams we played.
Let's break that down, shall we?
Geelong at the G,
Saints on the 'G (probably the only time we had any "real" home ground advantage)
Hawthorn (on the Hawks home ground),
Fremantle (in Fremantle),
Carlton (twice, both on Carlton's home ground),
Sydney (twice, one in Sydney),
and the preseason favourites, Footscray, twice (both at Docklands)
Myth=busted.
Next thing they'll be saying we didn't beat anyone above us on the ladder.

Granted, it means stuff all if Maxwell isn't raising the cup on the 25th, but still, it does my block in
