To get Patton we'd probably have to give up our first rounder plus a Walker, Jamison or Kreuzer which I don't think we'd be willing to do. I think our energy is better spent, building an elite development team and system - much like the Dockers and Swans currently have.

I know he was the number one draft pick couple years ago, but giving up first two round draft picks and a good ruckman that don't grow on trees is just too much
Yeah I thought so too, but as mentioned we need to give up something good to get something good. Would hope Robbie and our first would do it, but still think they would want a sweetner; may be a swap in picks, our second for their third or something similar would be more around the mark (although still may not be enough). Keeping in mind Patton has been likened to J Brown, if he recovers from his injury and lives up to that potential we have a dominant FF who'll hopefully play for the next ~10 years.

warnock and first rounder is already that something good. anything else on top of that, well then we might as well put a welcome sign on our back and bend over.
I get where you're coming from that he has been compared to Brown, but so has a lot of other key players, just because they have a similar style doesn't mean he'll turn out as good.

Go to GWS and offer the following:
Hampson, Jamison & 1st pick (maybe some other swaps of picks e.g. 2nd round) for Jaksch, Bruce & Adams **all reported to want out

Gives them mature bodies in the ruck (resting up fwd) and defence + chance to pick in the draft to replace a couple of round one picks they're giving up. Megan is also a great promotional supporter.

Gives us KP players to build around and midfielder. If we lose Betts under FA, we're in at end of the 1st round with compo (subject to acquiring Daisy).

Thomas: Mark Allen from SEN 27/4: No secret that Malthouse and Daisy would like to re-connect.

Watts: No surprise if he does want to leave Melbourne and again the Malthouse connection may serve us well should we feel a need for him.
Frawley: Would be very handy releasing Henderson forward although there would be quite a queue for his services.
Adams: Seems possible he'll make the move back home and we'd certainly be interested in a tough quality mid.
Delaney: Of the Luke variety. Would make for a good back-up back-man allowing Henderson to confidently go forward.
Staker: Mysterious sightings of him everywhere and around the CFC.
Taken from the OP as possible players of interest. (Frawley may have to go from this list)

Anyone heard anything else that may be of interest to us?

There is no way Warnock will be traded
I don't for a second think he's untouchable. I think it's a waste to have both he and Kreuzer on the list as we only have 1 #1 ruck spot and 2 top shelf ruckmen. Ultimately one will be getting starved of opportunities, whether it is by playing predominately as a forward or in the VFL. Robbie's value is as high as it has ever been, so we may be able to snag a very good player or pick. This would fill a need for us elsewhere (perhaps a KPP or another good mid) whilst still maintaining one effective ruckman on the list. Unless you think we should trade out Kreuzer instead, I don't understand your logic?

Shane Kersten currently playing a very good game in the VFL for Geelon on ABC at the moment. Given his lack of opportunity in the Geelong seniors, I think we could try lure him over to Visy. Has been kicking bags in the VFL for weeks now & was mentioned as a possible replacement for Hawkins (if his back didn't pull up for last night).

if pods wants to keep going for a couple of years, i'd definitely get in his ear, but if pods is ready to hang up the boots then I think he'll stay

I think 1 of them has to go! Open to either as warnock great tap but k better round the ground! I know where the currency would lay!

Exactly, happy for Hammer to play in the twos as backup. The other 2 both play their best footy at as a number 1 ruck, and would take that mantle at any one of 10 other clubs.
Keep one, trade the other. I'd prefer to hold on to Matty, but it's just my personal preference.

Does anyone think Kruezer has more chance of being traded for the number 1 spot with Warnock playing the way he is, now then when MM said he was untouchable?

FYI I didnt say would want to or not. Just curious

Just won't happen Cringle.

I know we can talk about trading flesh but to move Kreuzer we may as well sell the club.
What Kreuzer brings to the club isn't always tangible but we'd be a worse place without him.

Just wait until he hits up a full pre-season injury free.

Hope Kreuzer can start living up to the hype soon though. Warnock despite his good form is injury prone and if he has a good game tonight his trade value may be too good resist.

I don't know what will happen BM123, but if Kreuzer was asked to move on against his will, Visy Park may burned to the ground. :)

I know it's a business and all but you'd think Kreuzer to be a non-negotiable, but I may be wrong.
