CARLTON
HAWTHORN
BRISBANE
have picks in the PSD.
If you guys can do that on this thread it would be easier.
Thankyou for everyone involved. My wife will be glad this is all over.
As for a rookie draft I have the day off work next Friday so if you can PM me with 15 preferences in order (before 10:30 am EST) and let me know how many spots your club has to fill on its rookie list I will collate them and put the rookie draft up on the board.

Holding a Mock PSD Draft for just three clubs is pointless. Up until pick 54 this mock draft is as close to reality as it can get and may reflect fairly favorably to the real thing. After that it lost its way. I am sure Sheedy has already committed to Camporeale.
As far as the Rookie draft Brisbane will very likely only select three Qld based rookies. The Lions have retained Hamil, Harding and Pask on the rookie list. We will also have two internationals, namely Quigley and Begley from Ireland.
As Brisbane has priority on Qld rookies I will select mine now so that everyone else is aware not to include them in theirs.
Hayden Kiel
Rhan Hooper
Julian Kanis
My PSD pick is Leigh Ryswyck. (Re-draft)

Thanx vintage. I was not aware of that little detail. Had I been more diligent as a recruiter I should have known and would have selected Kiel with my pick 55 instead of passing for the PSD.79Vintage said:Sorry Irel,
but both Kiel and Hooper will only be 17 on Jan 1 2006, and are therefore too young to be drafted as rookies.![]()
Finally someone else who rates Lukas, we seem to be the only ones. Played well for Eastern Rangers in Ruck/CHB and CHF. When i first saw him get injured i thought he had done a nathan brown like broken leg but it was only dislocatedmissionpossible said:Ports picks -
30 - Alan Obst - to me we have a big problem coming over the horizan in that we do not have a full back to replace wakelin when he retires. Thurstans is on the list for safety but I dont expect him to make the position his own. Obst has been playing as a forward for Central Districts but showed at the National Championships that he has potential to be a key defender. I feel he has the best ability to punch the ball in the marking contest out of all the potential full backs. Use of the football can be a worry but I have faith that this side of his game can be coached.
44 - I feel we lack some strong body 188cm types in our list and Stanley attacks the ball with purpose and show a fair amount of pace and ability. I think he could step into the vacancy that will be left by Michael Wilson in a couple of years.
57 - Lucas Markovic was a step away from my plan as a Full Forward was not on my agenda but I rank him in my top 10 (no one on here will agree with me) mainly because I feel he has the strongest contested mark in this draft. He also has an ability to jump off of the ground vertically when at the end of the lead (like roger luders used to do, and ablett but he aint that good). The only pllayer in this draft capable of being a 100 goal full forward. He was forced to play most of the year in ruck in the TAC.
70 - Leigh Adams - I wanted one midfielder, he has pace and size and is bottom aged and it looks as though he has improvement in him and some of the things he does just oozes class.
71- Brad Kelleher - another of the 188cm types that has speed and strength to play at either end of the ground. Gave Clark a bath at the championships. Could play the Bishop third tall defender and he is a dead eye ******** with his kicking.
missionpossible said:You had to prove me wrong didn't you. I would have taken him at 44 in the real thing except I desperately wanted one of Stanley and Kelleher and I didn't think they would be available at 57. Kelleher at 71 I couldn't beleive but he is that size which will put a lot of people off.
Mind you when I put my players up as I rank them the night before the draft I will get attacked because Kennedy, Clarke, Ellis and Jones wont be in my top 20 (well kennedy might as he is currently about 17)
key position centre half forward - centre half back. What were his times for the 20 metre sprints and agility? I didn't see Ellis's results and they aren't easy to find on the official website.missionpossible said:5. C'Wood - Xavier Ellis - Bottom aged – 186/72 (Gippsland) – Left foot – Draft camp – XXX for the 20m confirms that the kid has speed.

It's ridiculous to release the top ten in sprints, agility, etc but not the restmissionpossible said:Other than the top 10 you wont find the results on the AFL web site as they are only released to the 16 clubs and apparently it is a breach of privacy to release this information to the public.
Some people involved with clubs have the results.
You will find that i have XXX out all the results for this reasoning but for the 20m times by my comments you can assume
quick < 3.00
resonable pace < 3.10
slowish < 3.15
slow > 3.15
Interesting that the time published is the fastest of three times, some players were consistent with their time whilst others have one reasonable time and a couple slowish times.
As much as I would love to tell you all the times I am unable to do that.
cypher said:It's ridiculous to release the top ten in sprints, agility, etc but not the rest
due to privacy since we even know Hurn's results.Medical tests and interviews should be private, but how are physical tests a breach of privacy when the media publish them in their draft wraps?![]()
I hope Wayne Hughes steers clears of whoever this player is and it's going to bug me that I don't know who it is.missionpossible said:one of the proposed top 20 picks has a 20m time of 3.24.

Tell me about Shaun Higgins, Varcoe or Thomas since the more I read the more I like next year's draft.theorangeapple said:Might be Spangher.
