Over on the Dawks board

On the AFL site was mentioned that Wild Scotts is going to make at least 2 changes, no where near enough imo, this team needs major shake up even if it means throwing away a win this week which is likely anyway.

I'm comfortable with targeted changes with a harder week to week philosophy until it sinks in. I would suggest 2 outs would be very easy to find based on last week though (and potentially a little too easy). Especially if Hansen is right to come back in. It will all depend on who they cut and why.

More than happy to see lachie decking Franklin :)

In all seriousness this is likely a close game. North generally have shown effort and application against the sides in the top 4 and usually match up well against us. Wells out is big but so is Rioli.

You will go from crankyhawk to ecstatichawk by 10.30pm Friday.

We arguably should have beaten them twice last year.

1st game at MCG we were better for most of the day but just couldn't get job done due to a few players choking at the end, second time undermanned (from memory) and umps all playing for Hawks was never going to be.

If we actually have 22 contributers at the same time for a change who knows what might happen? (well I do, we will probably get thumped anyway, but still...)
irrelevant argument I'm afraid. we play a completely different style of football to last season. our style last season troubled them, and yes we were close twice and unlucky twice.
this season our style will not trouble them. we are a completely different side and one imo not capable of troubling them.

Guarantee those stats would be fairly similar for nearly any key forward at most points in history save for a few freaks (aka Carey, Lockett, Ablett etc).
no it wouldn't. the discrepancy is too big. to a lesser degree yes but petrie's numbers are too far apart unfortunately. he hasn't delivered against the top sides. really struggles to kick multiple goals against them. the numbers don't lie.

Just went in and had look at the Dawks board.
Had to have a laugh, Petrie a flat track bully, they're going to put in
3 witches hats to combat our forwards. Some entertaining stuff over there.
You gotta half agree there...??!?!??!

Oh I hope we beat them, even by the narrowest of margins.
They've got a right to be confident, we on the other hand....

Sorry to intrude but if you win this week which I believe is a distinct possibility would you be happy, disappointed or both? Stupid question but if I was a Kangas supporter I'd be more than disappointed because the fact you would have beaten all 4 of the top 8 teams(if you win) but have stunk it up against some very average sides means something is not right between the ears of the playing group.

I'm not in here to stir trouble and if I have offended anyone I'm sorry, but at the start of the year I had North pencilled in as a very good shot at top 4 and have been disappointed as they have screwed my footy tipping this year.

Happy about the win.

Pissed off about the chances we've pissed against a wall

We beat your lot and I want to see us not drop a game till finals.

I reckon you're thinking about the game later that year in Launceston where we failed to kick a goal after 1/4 and were still a chance halfway through the last quarter. The conditions were very windy but both us and the Hawks were crap.

Nup it was at telstra...maybe it was 2007... I will check later. ..dreadful either way. ..

Happy (reservedly).

The real challenge will be putting in week in, week out and getting the wins we should get.

Frustration... on top of current frustration levels

That's fine. But if you lose this week, which our erratic form might suggest is a possibility, would you be happy, disappointed or both? Stupid question, but if I was a Hawks supporter I'd be okay with it because the fact is North would have beaten all the top 4 sides, so that's no disgrace.
