think its pretty obvious that cotchin will be better..thats probably why he was taken 5 spots earlier in the draft?
no it's pretty obvious they thought he will be better, whether he is or not is totally up in the air

p.s. cotchin for me, but it'll take a while to see it, body needs to mature a bit.

1 game against best side in comp in pooring rain with limited time on ground in a loss

16 touches and 2 goals ahhahahahah woo
Coupled with the fact he was injured all pre-season

if we are judging on performance then palmer is easily ahead

but the answer to this thread wont be known for years

Cotchin has only played ONE senior AFL game, think about your lame comparisons before you post them, because this is officially the worst poll thread, and trust me there are some real stinkers!

Another thing thank you for making this poll completely bias, insulting the other candidate Cotchin (before people have made their minds up), add in the fact you barrack for Fremantle and have Palmer in your avatar is one of the reasons why everyone HAS and IS going to continue to vote Cotchin regardless of who in fact is better ATM.

Seriously mate if you played for Fremantle you would be benched! :thumbsd:

Cotchin's got neat kicking skills, but didn't really do much V Dons, who are probably the worst team in the AFL. Early days though. Palmer was thrashed by Bentick yesterday. Palmer is and always be a ball magnet, but his disposal and decision making are average. He'll never be elite. Cotchin might, but Richmond's terrible player development record is a handicap that very few have managed to overcome. Almost feel sorry for players drafted by the Tiges, as their chance of future success is practically ZERO unless they do an Ottens or Rodan. :)

Richmond's problem is their list mismanagement. That's not Cotchin's fault. The Tiges are playing an extraordinary number of 30 years old and older players in their starting 22 e.g. last night we had Richo, Johnson, Brown, Bowden and Simmonds on the park. Hence, Terry's not serious about rebuilding the Tiges, it's more about short-term prevention of blow-outs i.e. selling out Richmonds future for self-preservation motives. A bit of a failure rut. :)

All of them are guns. Get back in the kitchen, the men are talking. :)

5 out of 22 (17 younger players) is the norm in most teams except freo (oldest List). You never experience out on the park so the young blokes can learn the game.

Foley (Rookie) Elite Mid (Gun)
Moore (Rookie) Very improved player
White (PSD) Very improved player
Lids (1st Pick) Now looks the goods
Edwards (Second Rounder) Titch also looks the goods

Just like carlton we have improved greatly and we see carlton in the 8 in the next few years.

Gibbs has had an awesome year, and setup the match winning goal V Freo yesterday after side-stepping 3 Freo defenders and firing out a 25m handball to Stevens running into goal. Pure talent. Setanta held Pav and provided valuable rebound yesterday. You need to start watching footy games. lol. I at least put myself through the pain of having to watch rubbish like last nights Tiges V Dons match. :)

Carlton win a few and Parrot makes a reappearance. Pretty gutless the way you vanish as soon as things go arse-up at Princes Park, Polly.

lol. Gee you're bitter. I would have thought the HUN-Collingwood-Newsletter's liftout of Thomas's latest junk-time goal would have put you in a better mood. Anyway, for the record I think the Blues are playing poorly this year overall. We've won 4 but should have clocked up at least 6 at this stage. It's a development year for us, and I'm more delighted that our young player development is going along brilliantly. 2008 was always going to be an up and down year for this highly talented young Carlton side, as they gain experience, and learn from their mistakes. :)

{Palmer just}-to stride into the and take controll of the ball the way he has been doin i think he is an amazing classed player already and a big future ahead of him look at his passing which is most of the time on target beautiful judgement

but not to worry i think cotchin is an awesome player i just cant pick him over Palmer yet but this kid has a lot of class to and im sure everyone wants to see him play to his full potential

Palmer - Good hard player gets alot of the ball. But his decision making/skills let him down. (I'm not saying he has bad skills, but just typical of a rookie)

Cotchin - Awareness of a 100 game player and elite skills. Hasn't/Doesn't get as much of the ball as Palmer though.

Cotchin > Palmer.
