Both have been good but based on Karnezis so far I would say he has been better than Darling, I might be biased.

Who has been better so far and also who will be better.

Karnezis i believe will be a very good player but Darling is already a very good player.

Who has been better so far and also who will be better.

Whilst Darling can play deep, we generally play him as a high marking HFF or as a defensive forward.

Last week against Richmond he showed he can play the role of a goal kicker, but generally he is used to create contests and harass and pressure opponents defenders.

Does it very well and makes great decisions. As Lynch gets older will become more of a goal kicking focal point but at the moment we share the load between Kennedy, LeCras, Nicoski, Lynch, Darling, Ebert and sometimes Shuey. Lots of options.

Karnezis has a better goal average, Darling's impact around the ground is far superior. Just watch the things he does, he will be scary good.

Karnezis has showed some great signs, but this one is not even a contest.

Darling wins, comfortably.

Karnezis is about as traditional a full forward as you'll see these days, so of course he averages more goals.

On the other hand, Jack Darling is just a bull of a player capable of playing just about anywhere - I still think there's a chance he ends up spending a fair bit of time in the midfield.

Darling does everything you would ever wish for from a full forward but kick 2-3 goals a game, and he's only 18.

Karnezis has looked good whenever I've seen him play this year, he averages more goals a game but there's a lot more to it than just that. The pressure Darling puts on the opposition plus the fact that he plays further up the ground and is still kicking a goal a game shows that he's had a great debut season. I'd say Darling by a fair bit.

Karnesis is a hell of a lot better than some people give him credit for- I guess no one bar a Lions fan really wants to watch them play these days...

Anyway I've gone Darling who is and will be a star, Karnesis is more of an unknown at this point. Maybe one day Karnesis will overtake him but at this stage it's more likely that Darling will remain the better player.

Also Karnezis rocks up to training on time. Darling gets suspended by his club. Just saying.
