Riewoldt purely as a CHF.

He has dragged us over the line in more than a few games this year single handedly while on the other hand, Pavlich has missed simple shots when the game was on the line.

Pavlich.

Better kick for goal (yeah this season didn't help he missed chances to win a couple games).

Better outstretched mark.

Riewoldt has him in suicidal aerial contest though.

I prefer Riewoldt's on-field leadership.

Rie has the better tank too.

But purely based on footballing ability, pavlich.

If it is a choice between who i would want for my club it would easily be pavlich. One of the most under-rated players in the league IMHO. He is up there with the franklin, ablett and judd variety. At his peak he is almost unstoppable.

He can play and dominate in every position. If he was at a victorian club he would be rated alot higher!

How Riewoldt was named ahead of Pav at CHF in the AA team is a joke, obviously would take Pav as:
  • Better Set Shot, he may miss a few crucial ones but he kicked the rest to get into that postion.
  • Better Mark
  • More Versatile
  • More Consistent
  • Doesn't go missing in big games
  • Better leader, goes out of his way to lift the team

Had to LOL at that one in particular. Riewoldt single handedly won games off his own boot. He brings his team mates into the play (as you will see he has more Goal-Assists than Pav). Where as Pavlich hides when the heat is on (ie. Fremantle's last quarter fadeouts/Pav missing easy set shots etc).

Riewoldt is 10x better than Pavlich when it comes to marking. He puts his body on the line (running with the flight of the ball etc) week in, week out.

IMO, Riewoldt has improved his kicking for Goal a lot of the past couple of months. He kicked 6.0 straight against Hawthorn AND Collingwood in crunch games. Where as Pav misses easy set shots.

Pav doesn't go missing in BIG games because Fremantle don't play in BIG games. You won 6 games for the year!

Riewoldt was named ahead of Pavlich for the CHF position because he had a better year than Pav. Maybe not a more consistant one but BETTER. He is a better leader as well.

I love riewoldt great player but something thats always bugged me is that when some1 challenges him as in like bumping hard he doesnt really get angry n giv it bak.i thought the same as kozzie up until this year he started to get more agro sometimes

haha wat u been smoking mate?
Riewoldt can do all the stuff Pavlich can his just never had too i.e his teams been BETTER! Riewoldt Dragged us to the finals basically. When has pavlich gone deep into his Backline and Taken a match Saving Mark?? Riewoldts done it numerous times. And you saying going missing in games name the big games you have played in besides the derby?

I don't think you can say one is better than the other overall.

Pavlich plays deeper forward so he kicks more goals.

Riewoldt plays further up the ground so he takes more marks, covers more ground and sets up more goals.

Both players are generally ok shots at goal but are known to miss big shots every now and then.

Both great players that I'd love at the Bombers.

Pavlich for me though; if he's that good in a shit team, imagine him in a good side like Hawthorn or Geelong and the amount of supply he'd get!

pavlich is above riewoldt in my opinion.

What lets them both down is there support who both happen to have huge potential.

Kosi is a big tall who shows some great skill at times and hes just asking to get injured over and over with the awareness he has when he is going for a mark.

Tarrant is simply just a let down who has never done what everyone expected him to do and probably never will
