I will be the bad guy here and say i'm not getting too excited just yet. His form pre injury was hardly sparking so i am not going to be thinking about him at senior level until i see how the form comes up in the VFL.
He has had to change how he runs so it will be interesting to see how that equates to his kicking and general form.

2012 is the goal peoples, 2012 is the goal.
Hurley with 50 games, Zaka, Watson grows further, Crameri as a hard nut forward, another year into Heppell..... and Pears at full fitness.
May the fapping begin.
Have you ever had a lid or has it just been permanently lost?
I had a lid, but it was lost when I started finding every friggin post by every loser that effectively stated Essendon had no talent on it's list.
Does it really matter? Not really.... but I like utilising a good memory to smack the ill informed.
The question for you is, is it a problem for you that I'm backing the Bombers for greatness?
No. There is, however, a difference between backing Essendon and repeatedly making outlandish, hyperbolic statements of supremacy.
True. Better than hyperbolic pessimism, too.
If he dominates in the 2nds, will he play against Melbourne next week?

The VFL game has already been played and won (132-90) and Pears made a very positive return playing the first half and contributing well. Some have said it would be difficult to tell that he has missed nearly twelve months of football.
He would still be at least 3-4 weeks away playing senior football. And even that is probably being optimistic.
Pears hasn't lost any touch - i was there and his skills were awesome as was his marking. If he has no setbacks i can certainly see him playing AFL earlier than you think. He'll have a week off playing this week which may not be a bad thing as like horses, some players struggle 2nd-up from a spell. He will still get the benefit of a good workout on the training track and play the following week after the VFL bye. If he can get through 4 quarters and play to the level he showed yesterday then he'd be a chance for a promotion in R13.
Think you may be a round early. Given the time missed i think he would need 2 full games.
Why are people saying Bendigo have a bye? According to the VFL app they're playing Coburg Tigers, and that Willi have the bye. What's actually happening?

Tah. This means we'll have 2 byes in 6 weeks. Is that unusual?Willy, Coburg and Bendigo have the bye. Pretty sure there was some swapping of games after the fixture was announced.
