I believe this should be very interesting, who would you rather in your team?
I believe these 3 blokes are the best out of the 05 draft, all guns, and will get better.

not biased choice or nothing but i think pendles is just a little bit better then murphy and higgins but i reckon higgins is better then murphy

Higins showed a lot this year but is still well behind Murphy and Pendlebury. Re the 2005 draft comment. I think Ryder and Clark are both ahead of Higgins.

Bias made me choose Higgins. Once he plays without injury and in the midfield full time people will see just how good he is.

Without bias I'd say Murphy>Higgins>Pendlebury

splitting hairs with pendlebury and murphy, i reckon pendleburys a better player without being 100% sure, higgins is a fair way behind those boys IMO.

I'd take Murphy ahead of Pedlebury ahead of Higgins.
Though I think all 3 will be very good players over the course of their careers.

Like the Thomas poll this one is no different.

Higgins is easily better than both of the others. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't watch closely enough or is biased towards a player from their own team.

Higgins has just had his first season not completely ruined by injury (he still missed a bit) and he showed what he is. A smooth moving, beautiful footballer.

but i suppose selwoods better than them all right? because IMO pendles, murph and selwood are all pretty even.

I've seen all three on many occasions and I don't go for any of their respective teams, yet I rate them Pendles > Murphy > Higgins. It is a very tight contest and there is no way to know who will come out on top in the end, but if we just measure them on current performances, injury or not, Pendlebury and Murphy are both slightly ahead of Higgins. Of course there is an argument for each player to be ahead of the others, but to flatly say X is better then Y is just plain wrong.

Probably one of the most even polls of late. :thumbsu:

Top Poll. I rate Murphy better than the other two, love his style of play, will be a star. Although Pendles and Higgins are close behind

Selwood is a different footballer to those 3 so is pretty hard to compare. If I had a choice of the 4 of them I'd have Higgins, Selwood and then the other 2 in no particular order.

For Geelong's requirements I'd have Selwood and then Higgins. Would've been nice if Higgin's could've been kept in Geelong. They should've given his old man 100 games when he was going around.

id take selwood, just for his toughness, and your right about those 3 boys being different, selwood the tough hard tackle breaking inside mid, pendleburys the classy dancing type with good disposals and plenty of time and murphys the hard running attacking goal kicker, all 3 would complement each other perfectly in the one team, as for higgins, very impressive, but id like one more year of 09 quality before i rated him with those boys.

The silky smooth Pendlebury quite easily.

Everyone's argument against Pendlebury or for Higgins/Murphy is they kick more goals.

In Pendles' first two seasons, he actually kicked quite a few goals from the midfield and was your stereotypical "goal-kicking midfielder".

In season 2009, his role changed. He needed to play a predominently inside game because we only had O'Bree that could do so. Carlton had the superstar Judd with cameos from Hadley. WB had Cross and Boyd. The inclusion of Ball in 2010 will allow Pendlebury to play a more even game both inside and out.

His inside/outside game as a whole is far superior to the other two boys. That's not taking anything away from them because they are both stars in their own right but Pendles is simply better.

Everytime Pendles touches the ball, something happens.

Murphy and Pendlebury at the moment are ahead. Higgins has had injury problems right throughout and really only showed hod good he is this season. He needs a couple more very good injury free seasons before being rated as highly as the other two, something I am very confident will happen as he has all the tools needed to be a top liner. I'd rate Murphy and Pendlebury fairly evenly, Murphy is harder but isn't great defensively while Pendlebury oozes class when he has the ball

With the addition of Ball, Pendlebury who has already achieved more & in a much better side than Murphy & one who is at the same level of Higgin's, will put daylight b/w him & them in 2010.

Great poll. Can't split em. They are all very outside and Murph and Pendles are very similar players. Higgins is obviously up forwards more and kicks more goals but has less influence around the contest because of this. After this season I can't make a call on this.
