Noel Pearson on ABC Radio this morning:
"I couldn't sleep last night. I was haunted by dreams, and the Dutton Liberal Party's Judas betrayal of our country. They've had 11 years to work on a proper proposal... I see Peter Dutton as an undertaker, preparing the grave to bury Uluru."
“This is more about his calculations, about Liberals versus Labor rather than what’s good for the country and he doesn’t mind chucking Indigenous Australians and the future of the country under the bus, just so he can preserve his miserable political hide.”
Pearson, who identifies as a Christian, said the timing of the Liberal Party’s announcement being just before Passover was coincidentally symbolic of its betrayal.
