2 balls down leg in the 1st over, 10km hr slower then he was at his debut, barely moving the ball off the straight.
Poms must be laughing

Just as Marcus North needs some time at domestic level, so to does Peter Siddle.
Just incapable of taking a wicket with the new ball, he cant and wont do it this spell. What's he there for if he cant take a wicket with the new rock?
Cant maintain a consistent length, as mentioned by various commentators it's a real problem.
YepTo people suggesting that the haters were "wrong", they (we) weren't wrong at all. Based on any sort of form which he'd shown previously at Test, ODI or Shield level, he should not have been an instant recall. He was bowling short tripe, and showed no signs of changing his style.
However, he has always demonstrated talent, and today was a ****ing brilliant day to realise that he's 100x the bowler he usually is when he pitches it up, gives himself a chance to move it, and bowls it QUICK. Most of us thought he'd need to go back to FC cricket to realise that.
He was still a bit inconsistent, and his first spell was rubbish, but credit to him, he came good. It doesn't make anything said about him previously any less valid though.
BF cricket board, once again shown to be completly clueless on the subject of cricket.

The funnier thing is Siddle gets criticised for giving away too many runs and relieving the pressure yet has a better economy rate than the great Doug BollingerThe thing that is a bit bizzare is that the same people who criticized Siddle leading into this match, are totally in love with Ben Hilfenhaus.
Their stats are pretty much the same.

Have to laugh at the NSW fans who think Siddle was plucked from thin air having not played a game all summer, they seem to ignore he has bowled 140 overs this summer all up in all forms of the game and he went back to first class cricket and was about 2nd on the wicket takers table after the 3 games he played
Doug the Rug went back to NSW, picked up a couple of wickets on a minefield, went out the next day and got smashed around on the same minefield as his team lost by 1 wicket because he leaked 15 runs off 5 balls at the end when all he needed was 1 good ball to win it for his team
A wicketless innings on that pitch doesnt make anyone outside of NSW and Siddle haters think you are fit enough or in form to be allowed into the test side for the 1st test of 5 in 6 weeks
