Ok, I am as much a Cotchin fan as anybody, but this is going a bit far.

I have been saying all year the two have been near on impossible to split...we have recruited the best midfielder in the league, plus Hadley for extra depth.

Drafting Kreuzer at #1 would by no means be the safe bet....if anything the opposite is probably true......WH develops a plan and sticks to it...he is very disciplined and IMO is a shrewd recruiter .......this could be our last chance to recruit such a fail-safe big guy. Having seen a little of the kids last year then watching the draft pan out, and a lot more of the kids this year, I sleep far better at nights having WH working for our club than another.

No, Collingwood's recruiter would have been head of recruiting. Hughes would have received a well deserved demotion. You have to have a recruiter that has the final say at the draft table. You can't have two recruiters working together, because in a situation like this, where Hughes says Kreuzer, and the COllingwood recruiter says Cotchin, who decides?

Or in 2005, when Hughes said Kennedy, and the Collingwood recruiter said Pendlebury, who decides (unfortunately Hughes for us). Hughes has a track record of major stuff ups at Fremantle and now Carlton. We've replaced Malouf and Pagan. Lets take the final and perhaps most important step and get rid of Hughes. He has already done considerable damage and will do more on Saturday. Enough is enough!
