I'm going to gamble, the player i wanted here i'm hoping will be available at Pick 33 and probably will be, not ranked by many on these boards. ;)
Don't you dare? I've got him earmarked for 34.

I think he'll almost certainly be there at #33.

geelong take at pick #25

jarryd allen (calder cannons)

long armed u 18's AA defender who showed later in the season that he could play up forward and kick bags. goes about his business with a minimum of fuss, but is always highly effective. has a great pair of hands, nice judgement in a contest, and is a good user of the ball. possibly not tall enuff for a KP at afl level, would expect him to develop into a quality third tall at either end. however he could also surprise by becoming a tall midfielder.

Pick 24

Bachar Houli - 180cm - 84 kgs

Great selection LH15. By the way things were going, I have expected Bachar to slip to Carltons next selection, #35.

#26 (Richmond) - James Hawksley (Peel)

At Richmond we are dead set in love with WA juniors. We think learning to play on the large, dry grounds is perfect for modern AFL. We think the unaccountable, unphysical WAFL colts is perfect for developing guys who can run and kick and show flair.

We are seriously considering moving our recruiting department to Cottosloe. Our scouts were rarely spotted in Melbourne because we couldn't get them out of Perth.

We could be one of the clubs to pull a suprise and go for one of the WA guys no one has heard of. Petterson, Mourish or one of those 'smokie' types.

Failing that Clinton Benjamin, James Hawksley and Jarryd Morton are all available and (in your best Goldilocks voice) juuuuust right for Richmond. Very tough call for us.

We are going for Hawksely because he is bottom aged. An Academy guy, quick and a good kick. At 187cm+ we see him as being a long-term replacement for Joel Bowden. With development he might step forward from HBF duties onto a wing, but we like him as a backman.

We see him as like Tadgh Kennelly or Jordan McMahon. He will do OK against taller forwards. But when the ball hits the deck he will turn zone defence into counter-attack instantly. Either with pace, or by foot.

That's exactly the type of player I see him becoming.

Hey, he's my player. I have first option on Hawksley. He's what Brisbane need. Would have been nice to get a better deal for Aker. Hawksley would have been in a Lion's guernsey now.:( :(

i didnt realise id thrown such a cat amongst the pidgeons (or hawks, crows and eagles as the case may be) with that selection ;)

Well chosen, mate - perhaps you should have a word with Bomber. Now that your job's done here you can sit back and relax.

im hoping to be back later on for a fourth and possibly a fifth round pick. we will definately delist at least one more player. still, im quite pleased with what ive come away with. along with tommy, i feel ive added players who bolster some glaring weaknesses, pace, skill, finishing and versatility.

ST KILDA TOM COLLIER

We need a tall utility type and collier is that, hes fairly athletic and has good decision making and is better suited to defence where st kildas main worries are.

I'm sure snoop won't be on for a while, so unless someone else has his preferences, we're stuck again.
