I think the concern is due to the Phillips selection last year. Last year was an anomaly. There was not a clear first available selection at 1 (after JUH). No one knew what pick 2-7 was going to be.

This year is very different. There is daylight between the first 2 picks (JHF & ND) and the rest of the pool.

Adelaide can offer Pick 4 & next years (which they won’t due to Lukosius & Rankine) and I wouldn’t take it after tonight.

After what he’s just done tonight, you’d laugh in their face at an offer of 4 and 2022 1st. Would take an absolute A grader in return to even consider moving it out now. Lads with this much talent ain’t on offer every year.

Further to that outside of the top 4 (including father sons) the next 10 picks are very even so a pick 6 is not much better than a pick 15 in quality
