I would love to see Polak on Pavlich, but the reality is that he has rarely displayed the ability to beat any key forward one on one, let alone a forward of Pavlich's stature. Tarrant? Not a chance on him either. Campbell? More like it, although Campbell plays FF, and Polak is not a FB. Loose man in defence is the only role that he can play successfully in the backline.

you've pretty much nailed it gav.he will float around the defensive 50 and rack up heaps of stats and everyone will be telling us we have let another star go

I wouldn't mind getting into a spare man in the backline shootout. Polak for them and Johnson for us. Then everyone will really see why we let Polak go.

Johnson is starting to look really good, and it will be very interesting to see how high he can go. The man has size, speed and skill. A more physical attitude seems to be lurking just beneath the surface too. His development has been nothing short of phenomonal.

Just spotted this drivel;
http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=212

The guy whinging about not getting the opportunities, which he had by the truckload, and at the same time he presents at his new club and is underdone in terms of his physical preparation. Lazy. The man had more wake-up calls than should be necessary and all he ever needed to do was take a look at Crowley.

Lazy sums up Gutless Graham. Maybe our coaching staff couldn't motivate him, but we wanted big things from a guy of his talent and got nothing. Polak would look a million bucks playing as a spare man across our backline too.. thats nothing new. I hope he does play on Pav, pencil Pav in for 10 goals+ if thats the case.

Cant stand the guy. All i did was defend him for the past 3 years and now he is a superstar cos he plays the 3rd man up role in every contest? Spare me!!!
Has knowone but himself to blame for his lack of oppurtunity.

i would love to see polak play on pavlich one on one. he has been great for us this years really stepped up has taken the big roles inb defence well. he is still young only 22.

i don't know what games you have been watching but he isn't the third man up in most contest he takes the strongest forward week in week out and does well.

i'm glad we got him an he will be pumped up this week for sure playing his old side.

last year he wasn't playing well an should have been let go he still wouldn't have gotten a game in your side still. he has stepped up this year for us an will show a few people how good he can be.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

I'll be warming my vocal chords up before the game!! :thumbsu:

It was frustrating that there was a lot of innuendo being thrown around. The only way to prove people wrong was to play good footy and I wasn't getting the chance to get on the park and play.

:rolleyes:

Oh boo-fricken-hoo Graham. Boo-fricken-hoo.... :thumbsd:

You know, back in 2003, he was my favourite player at Freo... but over the years his poor form, and apparent lack of endeavour eroded that, until he was traded because of his "lack of opportunities" and my response was "good riddance to bad rubbish...".

The best news about the game is it's on Sunday, Hopefully Polak catches up with a few of his mates on Saturday night ;)

Yeah, of course he does. But you may want to tell the other posters on the Richmond Board that;

I would like to see Wallace do a few things different this week.
- Not have Polak looseman, he does the job well, but i would like to see him match up on Pavlich

We will loose. So why not try a few things out?

I could be unkind and say Pav will tear Polhack a new one.

But its just sad he wasnt man enough to extract his digit and play good consistent footy for us and he would have had all the opportunity he could want.

What the **** was he doing to get himself so underdone after he screwed us over and went to the Tiges ???? Obviously **** all, says heaps about the guys motivation to prove a point.

He was frustrated about the innuendo about his alcohol problem. What a load of nonsense, why not pull your finger out if you want to reverse your reputation as a party boy instead of whinging about it.

It wasn't the rumour about alcohol that resulted in us getting stuff all for him, and we all know that the rumour's true.

Pavlich will absoultly dominate Polak he will be dragged before the first quarter is finished for sure, they will have to double team Pavlich this week to have any chance of winning

The club were onto him all along , You don't get injured and continue to do what he did and expect to get away with it.

Polak was a decent backman because the ball came to him (he had a fair set of hands too). But some how he got it into his head he wanted to become a forward. What a waste of time that was he used to shake more than Michael J Fox when lining up for goal.

Now he's gone back to defence, where he belongs, and is gaining confidence again. But the man needs to know his limitations. Pavlich will murder him if he plays on him.

Will Wallace have the guts to play Polly one-on-one against Pav? I seriously doubt that we will see it at any point on Sunday.

I've always had a lot of time for Polly, but it seems that every time he opens his mouth it's to have a crack at Freo. I'm glad that neither Solly nor Taz took the opportunity to do the same in their games against their old clubs - I'm really not sure what it achieves.

Hopefully Solomon gets in Polak's face before the first bounce, Polak is easily distracted.

Campbell will come in this week to force Wallace to play Polak one out against Pavlich.

I hardly think Polak is going to get down on his knees in the middle of Subi Oval and start snorting lines.....;)
