well is Mick becoming a bit predictable when it comes to team selection?

He was clearly blaming the loss on the forwards which we now know means 'dawes and anthony' with the changes this week.

Will be listening intently to the press conference this week if we lose to see what Mick comes up with...

any takers?

And if we win?

Yep this is bull crap almost as bad as the the indirect swipe mick took at the development coaches + recruiting staff last year when we delisted Stanley, Bryan, Thoolen, Dyas and Bennell:rolleyes:

wasn't suggesting we will lose...I hope we win and with fit medders, leon and fraser we are a big chance as this is closer to the full side

harking back to his press conference we can now see why he made the changes he did...i still stand by my op that it wasnt so much the fwds but the gameplan ie not switching to man on man to force turnovers or create a situation to be able to put more pressure on their backs.

Sure the forward line wasn't that great but it didn't help with some of the delivery into it by players up the ground. Players bombing away with no vision direct to the opposition.

The pressure in the centre corridor needs improvement also, but MM doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.

And we have a winner, agree with everything you said.

And if we win?

Well if the forwards kick 40 goals dont expect any credit.

If we loes, someone will be to blame. I cant recall anytime malthouse has put his hand up for a loss. Even when his shitty game plan is the reason.

You mean that same game plan that is used by 10 other teams too

Malty is the HEAD coach, his assistants job would be to disseminate his game plan. If the game plan breaks down/doesn't work, it's his fault.

I'm not having a go at the OP but I think a lot of us realise that this was always going to happen.

The media will take any excuse to suggest that there is conflict between Mick & Bucks or Bucks is "failing" as a fwd coach.

It's the nature of tabloid press.

Precisely. MM and Bucks working well together is poor material for a soap opera. And if the more dull-minded journos can't detect the conflict, they'll do their best to create it.

Mick would be 100% right hat Bucks is not ready to be a senior coach.
How do I know this?
Because if he himself proved he is not by accepting an assistant coaching position at Collingwood.
Case closed.

****en ridiculous unfounded speculation based on third rate journalistic column space filling.

Not a single hint from coach or assistant, just idiots who can't accept reality.

Dirty spoons stir shit elsewhere.
