I know what a standard deviation is, I know that 13 standard deviations from the mean is an infinitesimally small part of the total population, but I'm stuff if I know what it means that tonight's game and our game tomorrow are the two highest standard deviation in win percentage forecasts ever. Buggered if I know how this bloke calculated that.

OneGreatClub LukeSA. I still dont know how the guy calculated his figures, but if you go to this squiggle page you can see that the spread between the 16 analytics guys who attach a percentage to their tips has a massive spread from Richmond to win a 61% to Port 88%

I think Mr Squiggle uses a lot of different statistical models so I’m guessing that the predictions for this game are all over the shop in relation to one another ergo the high sd/variance.
