Don't tell me that! I have to get one for bursitis in my shoulder.
Mrs Wharfie has had two jabs in the shoulder over the years, both guided by a radiologist. First one gave her a lot of relief and the effects lasted for years. Second one the effect was not as great but still made a significant difference.

I had exactly the same - Cortisone for Bursitis - about a month ago

It is slow acting - I feel it improving week by week - hopefully will keep improving as they are meant to be long lasting

Better than the pain I was in before though !

Did anyone think any different. It was to be expected really.

VFL confirmed ladies and gentlemen.
I'm surprised that people are surprised that the AFL is VFL centric.

You may not have much to lose by trying again. I now feel zero pain in my shoulder.

Look at me. I'm now giving medical advice on Bigfooty. I'm happy to bulk bill.

After some of the traditional Chinese healing methods we were told about there are some conditions you might want to avoid advising about :D

It's great that Bernie Naylor of the WAFL 1,034 goals and 45 at interstate games the first decade after WW II, got inducted into the Hall of Fame. Probably a decade late.

That now means that of the guys who have kicked a 1,000 goals in each of the 3 big state leagues either just in those leagues or combined like Kernahan or also played in Tassie + the big 3 eg Hudson or in the VFL and VFA pre WW II, all of them are now in the HoF except for 2. That is Ted Tyson of West Perth who kicked 1203 goals before WW II in 12 years but most years finished 2nd to George Doig who was seen as the WA equivalent of Farmer (SA) and Coventry (Vic) in the 1930's. And Port's Tim Evans who kicked 1,044 for Port, 26 for Geelong and some in Tassie.

Given Austin Robertson Jnr was inducted in 2015, John Todd who kicked 350 for Collingwood in the depression and left because of a pay dispute and kicked over 700 in the VFL and Naylor this year, means Tim and Ted Tyson will probably be both inducted with in the next 5 years.

So there's still two guys who kicked over 1000 goals not in the Hall of Fame and yet relative nobodies like Dean Kemp, Guy McKenna, Mark Bickley and Ben Hart are straight in because we need to fill our quota of West Coast and Adelaide players to make sure the West and South Australians don't whinge too much. Seems legit.

Are you questioning if Ben Hart should be in the HoF??

Made the All Oz team when he was 18 and 19 in his first 2 years when forwards used kicked bags of goals. 300+ games. That ain't a relative nobody. The others - I get your point.

Why are we stuck on the idea that there should be only one game on Friday night?
Ch 7 executives want exclusivity and the $$$ they are prepared to pay for that. AFL wants more money. Players want more money.

Think that covers it.

The 100+ score bonus point is one he hasn't thought through at all. Does he really think this will increase scores as teams strive for a bonus point? The win will still be all-encompassing, after all it carries 4 points, not 1. What will happen is that teams will become more defensive to stop other teams from getting the bonus point. The cricket bonus point is not increasing scoring rates in most games except the odd one so why would it seem logical it will do anything in football?
Yep. Lets introduce a bonus for scoring where scoring is subject to the weather elements. Great idea.

and when you think the Melbourne clubs use Etihad a lot more than interstate clubs the competition would be even more weighted to favour the VFL teams.

They cant split the games up between 7 and 73?

They can but that isn't exclusivity, and its 2 sets of production costs, splits your audience so therefore what you charge advertisers, and as we have seen from Roy Masters article yesterday, people in Melbourne dont seem to switch to channel 73 to watch the footy.

2 games on a Friday night makes sense to footy fans but its the only regular exclusive time slot and 7 pay more for that exclusivity.

I’ve never understood why the AFL don’t use the time difference in Perth and play their night games after the first game is over. Easy way to get a few back to back Friday night games.

I'm questioning the order. How can there be three guys who kicked over 1000 goals (ie absolute superstars of their eras) overlooked for those players I mentioned who had great careers but were never amongst the most prominent players in the game at any point in their careers?

By the way Bickley kind of shifts the conversation every time Rowe mentions his Hall Of Fame membership that deep down he’s embarrassed by it. He knows.....

Because there are rules about how many players who have retired in the last 10 years have to be inducted. It used to be last 6 years. There is always a bottleneck in these things. Naylor was a decade over due. Shit Ken Farmer wasn't considered as worthy of being part of the original best 100 players + 36 other categories in the inaugural induction in 1996. Pretty sure 1997 it was Kerley who got inducted and then Farmer in 1998.

Well they need to change that rule because it's bullshit and serves no purpose.

I always forget which one is David Netiz and which one is David Schwartz. Stupid similar looking, Melbourne playing guys called David.

The purpose it serves is that a big chunk of the TV audience on HoF night has seen that player play the game. That's why its done. Pretty sure Baseball - the original HoF sport set their's up in 1936, doesnt have those sort of rules.
