I want him to go. Losing Sloane now would be like us losing Boak back in 2012, probably worse. He’s one of the few things they have that gives them something resembling a soul.
They gain more by keeping that sort of player around than losing him. You can load up with as many high draft picks as you like but if al they’re doing is collecting a pay cheque it rarely amounts to anything. Look at GWS.

Watts, Schacke, Boyd, McCartin, Patton... the game may have reached the point where it just isn't worth spending high draft picks on KPF type players. Sure, one may make it every now and then... the same as one from the third round might too.

The week that the crows are having is probably on par as the week Port had when Marshall took compassionate leave, Hartlett did his knee and the whole SPP incident.

But Port handled it so much better. The Crows press conference was awkward and the chairman members statement wasn’t reassuring. They resign a key player, and it’s broken by the media rather than a press conference. If they we Port members, the administration would have been over turned by now.

Its dawned on me that outside of Higgins, Daw, Brown, Ziebell and Cunnington and Goldy I have absolutely no idea who the north players are. I don't even recognise their faces at all. May as be watching local football.

Bulldogs I'd know Bont, Boyd, Trengove, Daniel, Wallis, Morris but no idea who else and many of them are premiership favourites. If Morris didn't look like Dale Steyn I probably wouldn't now him either.

If you don't know guys like Scott Thompson, Robbie Tarrant and Sam Wright who are all 10+ year AFL players with 100+ games to their names, maybe you just don't watch that much football?
