Dawson Simpson takes a mark for Geelong, wide on the wing in line with CHF square line 1pt up with 0:31 to go. For some stupid reason reason he handballs over the top and wider still to Corey who is rushed by the Brisbane player who came off mark. Corey drills it to the top of the square.

Whilst I agree it was a crazy decision from Dawson, why was a veteran like Corey demanding the footy in that situation? He should have been screaming at Dawson to hold play up.

I think Roughead has more natural football nous than Franklin, but Franklin is the better player. Not by much, but his physical attributes make him a better player than Roughead.

I agree completely, I love Roughhead.

I also think this defines the difference between Natainui and Watts quite well. And Hird and Voss.

my maths says 4/4 teams lost this weekend who had the bye the week previous, playing a team that had not.

The moral of the story is, if you're coming off a bye, make sure you're playing GWS. :D

With all thats happened today...lets not forget north melbourne just being generally shit...ben jacobs and his missus...

Ahhhh satisfying weekend this

Ben Jacobs
Another who is finding plenty of football at the Roosters, Jacobs has adapted to a new challenge as an inside midfielder.

Particularly pleasing in recent weeks has been his ability to hound opponents with tackling pressure, while finding plenty of the ball himself.

The former Power player has been praised by the coaches for his continued improvement.

Apparently we have the best record in close games over the last 3 and a half seasons:

I think a lot of that comes back to the fact that when we have won over the last few years, we just scrape through and when we would lose we would lose badly.

We have been incredible in close games this year. North melbourne were extremely lucky to win against us, and they are the only one who has actually beaten us when its been close.

Better?

We flog Carlton against the odds last year, they come out and beat West Coast in the dying seconds the next day. We beat Sydney as $9.00 outsiders yesterday, they come out and pull off one of the greatest comebacks for a while against the best team of the last decade.

If we beat Collingwood next week I guarantee they'll flog Hawthorn on Sunday.[/quoteHe

Yep, I would love to see PAFC beat Brisbane in a GF, again
