Let's win our own match before we laugh at North.

Why? What difference does it make? If we lose then you're just denying us nearly two days of laughing at North's expense that we would have enjoyed. Don't worry be happy. ;)

Would be a shame if Menzel did his knee.

Nick Graham looks alright. Bit of a Robbie Gray clone. Low centre of gravity and good skills.

Typical ******* North Melbourne. I sound like a broken record.

Beat Hawthorn, lose to Carlton. What the **** is with that?

I tipped Carlton simply because of Norfs incredible Norfness. This year they've lost to Essendon, Collingwood, Gold Coast, Geelong, Adelaide, Brisbane and now Carlton. They've beaten, among others, us, Sydney at the SCG, Freo in Perth and Hawthorn.

They're a freakshow. In horse racing you'd be calling for the Steward's inquiry.

I keep telling people - it's something to do with their psyche and the way they view the world as players. A lot of them are guys who have a certain limitation to their skill set as a footballer and if it wasn't for that they would have gone higher in the draft. So when they were drafted they already had a chip on their shoulder about 'I'll show them!'. Add them to an environment like Norf, which is all about trying to be relevant in a market saturated by Collingwood, Essendon, Hawthorn, Geelong, Carlton etc. and that chip grows even bigger. Which is why they perform like premiership contenders when no one expects them to, and why they fall like a house of cards when under the pressure of expectation...because those limitations as players are still there.

And what's worse, the way they have recruited means that those limitations aren't addressed by other players in the side. So when they are on, they are unstoppable, because they can play to a massive strength. But when they aren't...anyone can beat them.

Yeah no kidding. I've watched 3 Norf games in full this year- against us, Sydney and Collingwood. They were simply brilliant against us and Sydney- Sydney they just worked them into the ground. Against Collingwood they played like a pack of spuds- including Boomer Harvey. They were St. Kilda bad or worse that day. Reckon you might be on to something but they're still the tipster's nightmare.

When are the minnow Melbourne clubs gonna cop the same criticism and scrutiny that we did about their crowds and performances? If us performing badly and getting 20k crowds means we should fold then half these clubs shouldn't even exist.

Huge day of footy today - not!!

St Kilda!Freo and GWS/Geelong will be enthralling.

The Melbourne clubs do cop a bit of crap about the stadium deal, but they know they will be getting an awesome deal as soon as the AFL own Etihad, and the AFL have guaranteed their survival until then. They don't have anything to worry about.

The WA and SA sides have to support state leagues with revenue taken directly from their bottom line. No other club has to deal with that. The WA sides are bigger because the state is bigger, and the WAFL understands that strong WA AFL sides means strong WA football, so they don't feel the revenue hit as much as we do. As such, they're two of the biggest clubs in the league from a financial standpoint.

We cop it here about our crowds because the media wants to make it our fault, because if it's our fault, then it's not the SANFL's fault that we're struggling financially. The Port Adelaide people in the media have been too bloody weak to show how badly we're getting screwed. Now as a lot of people have said, it's probably not the right time to be riling up the SANFL in terms of stadium deal while we're negotiating, but it should have been happening years ago.

As REH always says, you don't get given power, you take it. The only way to take power over football in this state from the SANFL is to have enormous overwhelming public unrest. IMO the worst thing we could do now would be to sign a long term deal. The longer we wait, the further the Crows will separate from the SANFL and the more they'll support our side of the deal. Unfortunately, with 700,000 Crows supporters in the state, if we ever want to really effect change, we'll need those supporters to be mobilised against the SANFL like we are. It will take a sustained effort from Crows club legends to turn their supporter base around and stop cutting off their nose to spite their face.

If we get 32-35k tomorrow it will be in the top half of attendances this week...we'll still cop some 'poor crowd' calls for I'm sure...

Richmond got 24k playing us at Etihad, we'd get over 40k if we played them here in that same timeslot.

21k, even worse.

Logically, you should tip them to beat Geelong.

I read last night that Brent Harvey was interviewed on Melbourne radio yesterday (SEN I think), and his tone was sort of like, “It's only Carlton: we basically just have to turn up and collect the 4 points.“ Look out Geelong, because the switched on North will undoubtedly make an appearance in the next round.

I just hope our boys don't go into tomorrow's game with the samé mindset as North had last night!!!!!

North lose games like that because they have absolutely no accountability.

When they lose, Brad Scott makes excuses for them. He blames umpiring, luck, the bloody roof being open, anything. There is a lot of talent and grunt in that North squad, but there is no "you get what you deserve". Their coach is a petulant child and the sort of mood swings you'd expect from a 5 year old manifest in their performances.

Which is why it's so damn frustrating that we keep losing to them. We've only beaten them 8 times in 18 years!!!!!

I've always thought the Saints would come good....
