They were already angling at returning to the classic monogram after it was so warmly received last year, but rest assured Triggy will put it on his list of achievements when the bluebagger brethren rightly vote it in as their permanent strip and the universal congratulations for doing so roll in.

I was more referring to the voting for a preordained result under the guise of "customer engagement".

I'm with you. the old one has a raw chunkiness to it that could only work for a football club emblem.
Would be great to see them follow through and rebrand everything with it.

The earlier ones look like the FSM logo.

Will always stand for Carlton Flog Club to me

Surely they would have to change their logo then.

Dunno? Never really bothered 'em before. Had it the other way round for years...

Was that from outside 50 against us, in what could arguably be called the sealer? Or am I wrong, and that was a nightmare.

Yep, that's the one. The only thing he did all year and it was against us. campaigner with a capital 'c'.

Port are the Gen Y club of the AFL. It's all about me, me, me.

Don't worry about supporting the community and giving back to a competition that has been running for nearly 150 years. A competition you have been part of. No **** that. As long as Port are okay.

Selfish, greedy flogs you lot are.

:drunk:

I can't decide if the Carlton logo looks better as small C, large F large C or large C, large F small C.

Gen Y comparisons always make me laugh. I've always wondered how people justify classifying an insanely large sample of people across multiple cultures, socioeconomic classes, and regions in their head to all have a unique personality trait in common.

Yeah, I could be wrong, but the switch to the logo monogram coincided with technology allowing printed guernseys. You couldn't pull off the required intricacy with the old woolen ones.

It's hard to expect Joe Public to appreciate social complexities when our own PM talks in terms of "goodies" and " baddies".

Some of the old hand-sewn monograms from back in the day look a bit dodgy!

According to the Blueseum, Carlton introduced the "new" monogram for the '98 season.

BTW, that website is an amazing resource...
