Just got this in an e-mail from a mate re. Essendon - cryptic, but interesting:

Don't rule out something big coming out shortly. Heard a LITTLE whisper yesterday and it could be interesting when some documents are tabled about who did what, who procured certain vitamins and who actually financed the whole deal. It really could take its Toll on the club.

That's all I'm saying, but watch this space. Calling it the blackest day in Australian sport may yet be proved an understatement!

You have a beautiful mind.

Did you actually read the article?
"..... stealing laptops, iPads, clothes, hats and a phone worth more than $4500."

yes, the way I took that was that the last item was worth the money. they should've used the word totalling IMO!!

Wouldn't that read:

"..... stealing laptops, iPads, clothes, and hats, along with a phone worth more than $4500."

or

"..... stealing laptops, iPads, clothes, hats, and even a phone worth more than $4500."

or

"..... stealing laptops, iPads, clothes, and hats, and a phone worth more than $4500."

All singling out the phone being worth $4500 and not the total worth of the items described as

"..... stealing laptops, iPads, clothes, hats and a phone worth more than $4500."

Unless I'm completely incorrect about this...

I wonder what the hat contributed to the $4500? Is it a trick item like in the Price is Right?

You know the thread has descended into Internet hell when the argument of the Oxford comma arises.
