They did an interview with the surgeon who operated on Reilly - he said that they've never seen such an injury in football - it's the kind of thing that you'd see in Motorsport or downhill skiing. Had to have a plate put into the left side of his head. He must have been cleaned up at a fair clip, poor bloke.

Copped a knee to the side of the head from Sam Siggins is the rumour.

Yep, doing ground ball drills. Teague is on record saying that Reilly fell into the path of the oncoming leader - I guess he must have stumbled and Siggins didn't have enough time to pull out. It was probably meant to be a drill focusing on taking the hit and then dishing off which went horribly wrong.

It's what you represent and refuse to take your fellow supporters to task over, hence you are a hypocrite. You cannot come here crying about what a Port supporter says, then say you'd never do it.

Have some balls first and complain to your fellow Adelaide White Tail supporters about injury trolling, when you do that you will have some credibility, until then you're just another ****ing whinger from West Lakes.
Really? So you take responsibility for everything that is said by Port supporters? Good luck with that.

I'm no hyporcite, nor was I looking for your blessing regarding my credibility.

All I said was that some of what was posted by Janus was pretty ordinary - and Janus agreed.

Thank you for you contribution.

WTF are Essendon doing now? It's like having a Labrador in the house, you never know what they'll get up to next. Knocking over a vase, eating leftovers and knocking over the plates.

We don't care!

And you completely failed to understand what was said, try reading before you get on the high horse of indignation.

I did not say take responsibility for what they say, I said take them to task when they injury troll ... but no, you don't do that, you let it slide because they are your fellow Adelaide White Tails supporters.

That makes you a ****ing hypocrite when you take no action on your board but you come here whinging.

FFS, piss off to your swamp, you sound like its denizens are something you can understand

Working in government has it's advantages. Had a good hour or so discussing the aboriginal power cup. We are the only club to have a program anything like it. It's currently headed up by a fellow called Paul Vandenbergh who has been with the club now for five years and noted "The shift in the clubs attitude in the past 5 years has been phenomenal in regards to indigenous programs and giving back to the community."

He also noted that Port has the equal highest number of Indigenous players on a list, and the highest overall number of indigenous people employed across the club in comparison to other clubs.

He said that he and Nathan Krakouer had traveled over 54,000km's last year promoting the power cup and reaching out to remote communities, the power cup has developed massively in the last few years and now there are eastern state remote communities getting involved too thanks to Nathan and Paul's hard work. So aside from all the tough work Nathan did in order to get into shape to get re-drafted, he also put in massive hard yards for the clubs indigenous programs. They said recently they even went to Jakey Neade's home town of Elliot, who are really getting behind Port now.

Paddy Ryder said in his introduction that a defining factor in his choice to come to Port Adelaide was the fact our indigenous programs are by far the best in the AFL.

On a sour note, Chad Wingard was meant to turn up as Paul highlighted that Chad is very passionate about the power cup, however he is still in rehab and gave it a miss, hopefully the champs recovery is on track.

EDIT: Oh and my work's CEO is a Carlton fan, but he said "Even I am giddy with excitement to see these lads in the flesh and embrace this program."

Secondly, several people who are not AFL fans and do not follow the sport at all, exclaimed "See, the crows would never do anything for the community like this." did lol.

Lastly, we also have a female footy player representative for the power cup who has recently discovered her indigenous heritage and is currently on a journey to discover more about the culture and her ancestors, promoting the power cup to indigenous females as well.

Great stuff, Doctor Feel !

Worth its own thread, if one is not already running somewhere.

There'll be more news coming, and regularly, re PAFC's indigenous (and other community) programmes.

In the thread on the main board "BigFooty's most respected player", Harry Taylor is getting a fair bit of praise. I still remember in 2010 down at Kardina Park when he pinned a young Travis Boak to the ground behind play for no reason, and when he took a mark he gets right up close to one of our players and gives him a death stare.

That was nearly 5 years ago so who knows maybe Harry is much better now, but his actions that day still linger in mind.

Brent Reilly's head injury sounds pretty bad, I hope he's ok.

Football is football but the media are talking about him being in intensive care and possibly never playing again. That's not good.
Hi ford,
Can you dm me I need to ask something before I start a thread but can dm you.

Great stuff Doctor Feel I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that Ryder said we have the best Indigenous program. Not sure how well he knows the other clubs' programs but Essendon's has always been well regarded. To hear he reckons it's better than that is outstanding.
