I'm still far from convinced Geelong is leading the race if he decides to leave.
I think it will be a rising team like Melbourne or Gold Coast.

Perhaps Paddy will want to join a unified team like Port, giving him hope of a premiership?

If not I'd suggest he'd go Hawthorn chasing the glory, that is Hawthorns major weapon now, they are attracting quality players every year for success. Allowing them to stay up the top. Bastards

He would absolutely love to join Port I reckon. He will also know that it would be a nightmare for him.

Are Hawthorn getting COLA?

Hahah, no, but it does seem like it with their constant stream of recruits from other teams (McEvoy, Lake, Frawley, O'Rourke, Burgoyne etc)

At the end of 2015 you'd think one of Hodge/Mitchell would retire, Lake would hang up the boots and perhaps Hale would retire to make way for their younger rucks/forwards.

Add to the fact that Jordan Lewis and Jarryd Roughead are already on the veteran's list, with Birchall the next addition in 2016.

Depending on whether or not they spent the whole 'Retain Buddy' fund to get Frawley, assuming they didn't, they could bank what they didn't spend in 2015 for a Dangerfield in 2016.

i doubt it will last though. When the likes of hodge, mitchell, burgoyne ect retire the inevitable slide will happen.

Would that be in a rickshaw?

Dibs Paddy2Paddy username, which could work either way if Ryder is in the ruck or the forward line

Ahhh that's better, just been over at the crows board to get my daily Port fix.
pot, kettle, yeah?

I can see it all, Wincey joining us. Adelaide media erupts in outraged indignation.
Dangerfield joins the enemy (thats us by the way, but you already knew that).
Paddy why have you joined the Power?
I know they are missing that X factor to win a cup and I naturally saw MYself as THE answer.
I believe its just the natural order of things that greatness is MY destiny and I'm prepared to do what it takes.
An indifferent opening game for the Power, which saw Dangerfield 3 times sent back out to the play after grimacing
in confected and contorted agony after seemingly minor clashes his error ridden first game had Ken Hinkley
in the after match press conference say
People need to understand that Dangerfield is a long term project player who will hopefully
grow into a role at some other club that has the salary space for him and his mirror.
We already have a Paddy who is no danger to our field of dreams

You should post that on the Crows Board :p

The Hawks are bullet proofing their club like Geelong. Geelong since 1998 season have only missed the finals 6 times, but only 3 of those years did they have less than 10 wins - 1998 9wins, 2001 9 wins and 2003 7 wins. The current Hawks players were first drafted in

2000 Burgoyne
2001 Hodge Mitchell, Lake, Hale
2004 Roughead Lewis, Gibson

Free agency allows them a better chance to replace the greats quicker, but by the end of 2016 I would expect retirements from all 5 players from the 2000-01 draft and Id expect them to only replace 2 of them thru free agency.

Fantastic!

Is there a date for the end of this ASADA/Essendon 34 tribunal?
I think it's timed to correspond with the date England wins a World Cup final.

What happened to the sacrificing a huge pay day for the sake of the team down at the Cattery?

Blimey, Geelong may be heading down a very slippery slope post-Golden Era

It never lasts, just like our current era wont. The wheel turns.

Except next time around, we'll have the resources in place to identify and develop the next wave of young talent required to swiftly climb back up the ladder, instead of spending/trading draft picks for the likes of Bent Corncobs and Owen Wilson-Phillips.
