Demons finished the match after Bernie Vince's goal to tie up scores in the third quarter being outscored 4.4 to 0.3. They did well at some points but fell out of the game for long periods. Their skill errors allowed Collingwood to score heavily from turnovers. Oxley played very well but they should really have matched up on him after he had taken a few uncontested marks in defence.

Just saw the Harvey/Priddis incident. AFL needs to fine Boomer. Shit bloke playing for a shit club that does shit things

Assuming he doesn't miss any matches, Harvey's 400th game will be at the Gabba in R17. This is good news in two ways - the crowd will be very small so he won't get many boos.

I've always rated him a bit more than most, but yeah... it's getting harder.
I thought Jack Watts did ok today... BUT ... it was embarrassing seeing laugh and carry on after the game as if it was an old scholars match.
He just doesn't get it ... or is that too harsh?
Having a chat with the opposition is borderline ok but he takes things to a new level

I agree that outscoring a team by 14 goals in 2 1/2 does mean that we played well. But them scoring 2 goals in the same period says something about them as well as us.

That when teams can't play that shit defensive high press zone tactic and actually have to score with run and spread to stay in the game our defensive structures are ****ing awesome?

They didn't really mention it during the game. Not sure why. They had more of a go at the umpire than Boomer. If he starts getting boos and the "experts" start decrying it then they can go and eat sh*t. No player more deserving of being booed than Harvey.

Jasper Pittard did nearly the same exact thing as Boomer in the 2013 Saints game to earn a 50, and we thought it was hilarious and crafty and recommended anyone unsatisfied with it directed their ill feeling to the umpire for being sucked in.

I dont care if it's one eyed, Jasper was crafty Boomer is a flog.

How was that exactly the same thing? Dal Santo slapped the ball out of Pittard's hands and Pittard drew that fact to the attention of the umpire. Harvey slapped the ball out of Priddis' hands and then pretended that Priddis had done it. Baffling post.

As far as I remember Pittard played for it by practically sticking the ball in Dal Santo's chest as he ran past and Dal Santo took the bait, and looked straight to the ump for the 50.

Also, "nearly the exact same thing" is not equal to "exactly the same thing"

So Jasper goaded Dal Santo into actually doing something stupid, whereas Harvey tricked an umpire into thinking that Priddis had done something stupid which Priddis hadn't actually done. Not in the same league.

The umpire wasn't sucked in, he had no choice but to give a 50 as Dal Santo had slapped the ball out of Pittard's hands. If Pittard had pushed the ball into him as he was running past and his body knocked it out that would have been a Harvey-like action. Fair game to suck the player into an illegal action but when you fool the umpire into a 50 that's not there you turn yourself into a soccer diver.

Judd retiring to no surprise.

but guess who they play the week after his announcment, that's right.
Great, just great!!!!!!!!.

Great, just great!!!!!!!!.

If Carlton needs to use a player who has just retired due to injury as motivation then good luck to them I guess.

Will make it even better when we smash the shit out of them.

Great, just great!!!!!!!!.

If the obviously career-ending injury to Judd didn't inspire them to get over the Crows on the day, I don't think it's gonna have much effect on the game a fortnight later.
