Joban said he could get players to follow “scripts” — such as how many runs would be scored in a session, or an innings, when a wicket will fall and what a team would do if it won the toss.
For any of this to be true except when a wicket falls basically the entirety of both teams would have to be in on it, so I'm calling BS.

I have no doubt it is true. They have been on the investigation for four months. Illegal betting is rife in international sport and you would naive to think that a first-class cricketer or even an international cricketer wouldn't be tempted by cash in the realm of $50,000 to $200,000 for bowling a wide or getting caught out. Humans will always be tempted to cross the line.

The amount of well-known Hollywood actors making TV commercials just reinforces how greedy a society we have become.

I mean do any of the cricketers such as David Warner (who would probably earn around $3 million a year) need to do TV ads? No.

We live in a society where everyone wants more and it is not healthy at all.

Shoot an entirely legal ad and risk getting sledged over it if it's crap, or spot-fix and risk losing your entire career and becoming a pariah.

Yep, I can't even tell the difference.

Apparently via the transcript the bookies name a former Oz player/admin but that name has been withheld for legal reasons. I guess once the investigations are done on that individual we'll find how valid the bookies' claims are.

I just read the article. Cheers Dips for bringing this to my attention.

They've just revealed the fraud.

The whole English cricket team.
They've been charged with impersonating cricketers.

Serious stuff.....

I guess.. but it's surprising they didn't go through with it and see if the fourth ball of the 9th over would in fact be a dot ball or not then making it an expose.

Does putting a guy in the top 6 with an average of 21 count as trying to throw a game?
I bet an Australian mid order collapse led by the marsh Brothers. Also for the sun to rise"

I recall discussions saying the best way to root this out was to tell the players there would be stings set up to try and entrap them. They'd never know who was behind the fix.
Could this be what's happened here? It's like it's all talk about proposals but no specific incidents of fixing

Am I the only one that heard them say on SEN this morning that the silent man was a former world cup winning all rounder?

If no current players are involved, how can there be a fix?

So they’re either saying it’s simon O’Donnell or Shane Watson or Shane lee
