If this is the Hampton trade, what was the hold up? We could've rubber stamped this Monday...

We are prob using one of the 28 and 32 for seed and then the other to possibly go with kerridge maybe in return for 20? Then have 9,13 and 20 and gore, seed and HamptonI'd have much rather traded 32 than 2016 R2 but I suspect we have that pick earmarked for something else
Second round next year with us not having Danger could be pretty close to Norths deal for Anderson considering they get 2 later picks back and everyone is laughing at them. Seems overs to me for someone that is not in GWS best side but hopefully works out for us.Why a 2nd round pick ? surely that's overs

we have 28 & 32 this year and unless we delist someone else we wont be using 28.
We need to trade someone out now for a second rd pick 2016. Its a stronger draft. See ya DMACK

But that is what the clubs are using. You may think it a bullshit system - but that is a different debate. It has become the defacto break even system in any trade. Every club will be using the scoring system as their first measure, and then they decide whether or not their needs outweigh the average points of that system.I think people need to reconsider this.
This method only had relevance when it comes to FS and Academy picks.
You aren't going to trade pick 5 for pick 15 and 18 because of some bullshit points system the AFL dreamed up, unless you need academy picks, or you don't want top end talent.
What's the difference? It was always going to get done. Both teams said so.If this is the Hampton trade, what was the hold up? We could've rubber stamped this Monday...

Obviously think we'll be rising up the ladder next year![]()

Lyons & Grigg come out of contract next year, we'll have some currencySo we keep our 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders for this year which to me is a little strange. I still think we're giving up a second round pick for Seedsman which will leave us with 3 picks in the top 32 at least. Are we going to the draft with 3 picks in the top 32? We've definitely damaged our chances to get a group of talented youngsters next year.
Edit: Maybe we're in discussions with Carlton for a pick in next year's draft with a Kerridge trade?
happy to get hampton but
disappointed by the administration ... getting unders for danger .. and paying overs for the others ...
