Pre Game Anchor

What happened to the pre game anchor??

I went to the Geelong game last Friday and noticed it wasnt out before the game, the last game before that I went to was the home derby in 2007 where it was cheekily dragged through the eagles pre game warm up. Did the AFL ban it after that or is there some other reason it wasnt out before last game. (Unless I just missed it however i was seated 20-25 minutes prior to bounce down)

I think it was due to the Anzac ceremony. The Anchor has been out at the other games this year, but the AFL has put a restriction on anything being on the ground up to 20 minutes prior to the game, so it's coming out early.

But i would imagine with the Anzac day ceremony it would have been skipped for this match.

I tend to miss it as well. The pub offers much better pre-game entertainment.

Tha anchor was pretty lame. I was usually in the Billy Walker room when it came out, now its hard to get in there before half time!
