I remember watching Steve Gilham star for Vic Metro at CHB. The only knock on him was would he be able to put on weight (he has but not much). If we can put him on the same diet Richie Cole was on he might be worth a look.

Luke Peel was meant to be alright as well.....got drafted bottom age by the Power (Melbourne boy originally) and was still in school.....could understand why he struggled over there

we could possibly look at him in the National draft as a later pick??

Selwood and Rodan are both guns. Rodan can be a matchwinner while Selwood will give you valuable run in the middle. I'd prefer Rodan as the Maggies don't have to many matchwinners.

agree with you on this one, he is too much of a flash in the pan player and Richmond know this thats why that are not moving on their 1 year contract offer. he is in no poistion to be demanding anything more as he has been out for a year with injury!!! Selwood by a mile!

Selwood might be ok but he's already been over hyped by Collingwood supporters and he hasn't even nominated yet much less been left by Carlton for us to consider. Let's not get too excited. I think pies supports just want a decent player brought over to the club...i mean im one of them. Any addition is a good addition at the moment.

If McLaren - as expected - heads to Optus Oval, Selwood must surely be ours. Selwood is a tough nut, with good skills and can do a tagging job. Both he and twin Adam will be stars of the competition.

But if Carlton do opt for Selwood (meaning that they have delisted Lappin), then the 2004 All-Australian should head our way. Lappin has terrific skills, can play at either end, and can set play up from halfback. I would not be disappointed to gain his services.

Not Rodan. I like watching him play, but IMO he is overrated. Good goalsneek, but I can't see him filling any other role, and with Dida, Caracella and Davis all ahead of him, he will struggle to find a place.
