Honest Review - Round 13
Old Ivanhoe v Marcellin
Perfect conditions, slight breeze, lots of SPF50.

After a humbling game against Hampton, and with again 7 changes, including two under 19 debutants, the coaches were wary of what Marcellin were going to bring.

With the 2013 Premiership reunion in full swing, the boys from Bulleen Road jumped and fortunately for us, they Didn’t hit the scoreboard. Some chaos football saw the Brownies get going scoring 3 unanswered goal, going into the 1st break with a 20 point lead.

The 2nd quarter started and the coach was pulling his hair out with 7 straight points. Once the boys found the middle, we added another 4. At half time the lead was 49 points.

The 3rd quarter saw Marcellin hit the scoreboard with 100 gamer, Zac Tolley kicking their 1st. A 6 goal to 4 term saw the lead increase to 61 points.

The last quarter saw the 2013 boys behind the goal cheering on the only remaining player from the era still playing. The big Stinga led with ferocity but to no avail. A 7 goal to 1 last quarter saw the final winning margin being 98 points.

Marcellin battled all day, but like most clubs are under maned, with injuries and overseas travel.

For them, their season will come down to the Ormond game in 2 weeks time. Will Box Hill have a bye that day???

A big six weeks coming up starting at the windy Mazenod. Hopefully some more boys start to come home.

Thought the Monders were home at HT , but OC turned it on in the 3rd with 8 straight , they have a star from the 19s , big mobile kid who kicked 6 should play higher . Another OC next week

I know it's hard to get scribes , but the bloke on C has no idea , has Ormond as the bottom team , never mentioned at one stage they were 15 points in front and OC kicked 8 in a row , also not 1 Ormond mentioned

I would imagine it would be quite hard to watch all 5 games each weekend.
I would also imagine no one from Ormond picked up the phone to discuss the game with him.

He doesn't have top watch , the bloke a couple of years ago called clubs and surely get the ladder right .
Maybe have a contact for him and clubs can inform him , also as i said it's a hard gig

If you look across the divisions they mainly focus on the sides up the top.

1 game at a time , but got a double bye coming up should of had the Mentonians bye in round 10 , the fixture ids F'd playing Rovers in round 1 and 18 , one thing the Southern league do right is have a proper and fair fixture
