The players who have left Old Mentonians in C Grade played their Junior careers with Beaumaris as I know as I spent years there and i imagine the same at St Bedes, good luck to them if they want to play at successful Clubs in B grade and possibly higher, best you focus on Glen Eira

So? Is that a problem? St Paul’s for one have taken our footballers. That’s football. St Bedes and Beaumaris have taken players from Mentone, that’s football. That’s the last post I will make re your obsession. Find a new club to menace. Bye.

It's a shame what has happened to Old Mentonians this off season - a lot of this seems to have stemmed from no backing from the school and being heavily reliant on a core group of players with no connection to the school. The fact that most of those players have jumped ship at the first opportunity unfortunately speaks volumes on their character - let alone the surrounding clubs who have identified a struggling club and targeted their core players (Beaumaris, St Bedes etc.)

Maybe I'm from the wrong era of the 90's but I would much rather build something special with the group I am a part of instead of taking the easy way out and pack up and leave because things got a bit too hard in C grade

Absolutely the wrong era (same boat here). The coin being thrown around for reserve grade footballers is ridiculous. In all honesty I can't understand why these guys are targeted in the first place, some, not all would be lucky to be more than a 'top up' for the first XVIII.

Not at all i was replying about players getting paid if you read it ! That coach resigned and has now kicked on with a better role than he had at that mob

The way GE go about it is no different to the local VAFA and SFL clubs who prevented them from having under age sides in the Southern league. So I guess they had to find another way. Karma came to the clubs that barred them. FYI.

Josh Gorman for a start , standout Dragons player , easily play B Grade back at junior club Beaumaris, Ky Owens who is still on Frankston VFL list, Lucas Haig who has gone to Highett……

Listen 07 i have not entered into that conversation for sometime . The only thing i will say is that OAFC had NO issue with GE having a junior team , it was the surrounding junior clubs , but that fossil just doesn't get it .

Had a (personal) crack over the journey at the former president, current president, current coach and now this slur.

The fact you're all so obsessed with a club from a lower division indicates to men you're threatened by Glen Eira and don't have your own house in order.

Hopefully when we get promoted it is at the same time as you getting demoted and we never have to play each other, hate to see how you all behave at an actual game if you're collective representation here is a sample.

Talk about a bet each way. When ormond juniors knocked back Glen eira establishing a juniors the line was "they're a seperate club"

Just got home from a great day of cricket and have to read crap like this . I haven't commented for a fair while on this , but get it straight OJFC is a seperate club
