For the past several years, Carlton, the forums I was involved with adopted the rule of lowest tipping score of the round applied to any tipster who did not submit their tips prior to the starting time of the earliest game of the round.

If there is a different rule used here, I'm happy to adopt it.

So in theory l would get my tips? Happy with that.....
Great scoreboard too.

Old Brighton v Mazenod - A nice and easy start to the year for Old Brighton. They should win this by 10+ goals.
Fitzroy v Peninsula - Fitzroy and Brighton were about even last year so based on the results last week, I'll take Fitzroy by 50 points
Old Scotch v Monash - Monash were big improvers last year and could be a dark horse this season. Usually takes them a while to gel, especially with a new coach. Old Scotch by 15 points.
Ajax v Old Carey - Whenever Old Carey do a big recruiting rebuild, it always takes them a while to get to know each others names let alone play well together. I think they'll be pissed after last week and get the W regardless. They'll just get better and better throughout the year as well. Carey by 20 points.
St Bernards v Parkdale - St Bernards will just be too good. Snow dogs by 40 points

I am going to put somethimg out there. As with this week, when none of Scotch, Carey, Bernards and OB are playing each other - then you'd be advised to just tip those 4 teams to win. Thoughts?

Old Brighton because they were really good last week and very good last year
Fitzroy because Peninsula won't adjust to B for another couple of weeks
Old Carey but they would want to bring their best or will get rolled
Monash as a surprise winner
St Bernard's because their local press has them penned in to win the flag

Nup. This theory will crash as soon as this Saturday I reckon.

It's not the worst tipping strategy, as it will almost certainly get you more wins than losses.
But I'm sure as a group, those 4 teams will lose at least 10 games against your nominated bottom 6 teams. All teams are capable of playing winning footy in B Grade. Particularly at home. Upsets will occur.

Which game will Maple bet have they're booth at ?

Can't set up a booth at Sportscover. Would be frowned upon.
Can see myself there for a bit and then maybe down at the Trott. Keen to see these Wesley recruits strut their stuff. Love the way the Purple always find a way back to the summit. Great stuff.

I'm sure they don't have to worry about the use of 1 year old cars to get to the Trott.

Agreed re upsets. But your point re a tipping strategy is the relevant factor. Reckon I might use it. Starting this week.

I agree with this guy.

Match of the day at Camberwell, where I reckon the young Ashes might have learnt plenty from their 3 games v Scotch last season. Watch Mason go, the boys a serious player.

Early fancies Panthers in early trouble.
Rooster..should we head down and offer some support??
