The other tipping sites (inc VAFA Tipping) allow changes to tips - "An Eligible Entrant may make or change a tip for a given Match in a Round at any time prior to the scheduled starting time of that Match."
I believe we should comply with the status quo, therefore AM's total has been adjusted.

Just to clarify the other rules currently adopted:-
One (1) point will be allocated for each correct winning team selection.
Zero (0) points will be allocated for each incorrect team selection.
In the event of a Match drawn, cancelled, abandoned, not completed or not played for any reason and/or a result not officially declared, it is treated as a win for both teams competing in that Match.
A Tipster who does not submit their tips for all Matches in a Round prior to the scheduled starting times will receive the lowest tipster score for that Round.

Finally, I note with some trepidation that dear old Max appears to have jumped on the Pirates' bandwagon early this season. I suppose we can make room for him.

Hoes very lucky on the weekend.

Marcellin had 1 left on the bench, with a few others a little worse for wear.

Peninsula will be a very strong team this year. Last year, were good at home and beating up on lower teams.

I see Ferg only got one. How did he play and where?

Which is precisely what I did mate. So I don't get your reasoning.

Just curious, where does everyone think kew will finish, are they genuine premiership contenders?
finals team?
or cusp of finals?

Nobody could write them off as a genuine contender considering there recent achievements.
Have a great coach.

i tend to agree, its hard to imagine they were playing D3 football in 2013

I heard whispers that the players that Kew got from Northern Blues are expected to play in the 2's, to prevent Kew premiership players being disenfranchised by imports and to maintain structure of the team. If so, they will have an elite magoos.

Clutch

From the clearances report, Kew have not signed a single player from Northern Blues. A couple from Xavs, and that's about it.

They did look good against Oak, but only in the 2nd half when their fitness took over.

They do have an interesting reach of new recruits with transfers from: West Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL), Loddon Valley Football League, Picola and District Football Netball League, Ballarat Football League, Football Netball East Gippsland, Ovens & King Football League, Gippsland League, Riddell District Football League (RDFL) and Wimmera Football League. I'd be curious to know the connection.

Interesting, but nothing from the Northern Blues!!

Rissoles, calling Rissoles. Howdy again! Following your useful explanation of the tipping guidelines (#201) I queried why you hadn't applied them in my case (#207)).

Seeing you haven't as yet replied I ask again as I think clarification is important.

You rightly said the BF tipping guideline relating to changing tips would apply. That guideline essentially says a participant can change his/her tips providing it is before the start of a match. That is pretty much standard procedure for such competitions.

Having properly said that is the standard you ignored the guideline by adjusting my tip number.

I changed my tips - one to be precise- at 5.21pm (#179)Friday as you will see by the edit to my post. That would be 20+ hrs before matches were started.

Either we abide by the guideline as you properly suggest we should or we adopt the Bedford option - to coin a phrase - and allow no change once tips go in.

If we apply the guideline as you said we should/would my tip numbers should not have been changed. On the other hand, if we are to ignore the guideline and adopt the Bedford option then the change was appropriate.

Your clarification would be appreciated.

1. I can't believe I'm replying to this; and 2. Doesn't he say due to this rule your tips will be adjusted accordingly???

I was only joking, but you shouldn't go by what I said

Yep! And incorrectly. If the BF guideline is applied, which was my point.

Leaves a bad taste when there's an inference of cheating.

I always go by what you say mate.:)

Max,
Aitken has recruited quite a few players who did the pre season at the blues. My club lost a player to Kew who had been recruited by Aitken. Good recruiting I say.
